By the way even people that work with him say he is a disaster lol This was from last year as well not the early 2000s Viper debacles.

Now you know, clueless people like ZF who are easy to sway with a conversation. It's called being a great salesman. Plenty of scum are great salesmen.
But, but, he's just so personable and down to earth, such a nice guy to talk to. Lol.

The are no such thing as "alternative" facts...there is truth and there are lies.

P.T. Barnum had a quote for that.

^^^ I think the quote was "there's a sucker born every minute, or it's just John Hennessy trying to defend his dirtbag actions on a forum"

He has been known to create fake usernames to defend himself on forums. Maybe an IP lookup is in order...

LMR worked on my StingRay, Z06 and Hummer. They're a good shop.

I'm forced to stick up for my home state here and say that guy is NOT representative of Oregonians.
In fact, I'm not sure WHAT he is representative of....

I did my due diligence back when I needed to spruce up my C6 and after personally speaking to 2 clients who were not properly treated at Hennessy I decided to go the Callaway route... ... I got treated right even when a hiccup occurred and I was from out of town (the valve covers were not ready on time ) ...I received them in the mail a week later and my Callaway has me smiling ever since ...and going back to the original point about estimations on performance , I would never trust someone with my vette if I haven't seen/driven another modified one with the same package ... It's nice to be the first to have one but I'll take the proof first...Merry Christmas everyone

He is always confused. He generally has conversations with himself in fragmented thoughts and sentences. You can never tell what the heck he is talking about but for some reason he thinks it's normal.

LOL. Just too funny. I can't believe you actually wrote this. FYI, a warranty is only as good as the person offering the warranty. Snake oil salesmen have a tendency to "offer" whatever it takes to get your money.

Makes me think of this guy named Musk....

Shops fall into the "ponzi" all the time. I know a guy who is going to prison for the same thing. We had dinner in 2011...I told him I could see what was happening and to fix it but....he didn't listen. He was livin the dream...buying boats, Toter Homes, adding to the shop space, taking deposits, taking in more cars, but bouncing payroll. 2016 he was indicted. He'll be sentenced to prison here in january.

John H. has an option though...he has real IP value, real brand value...he could take on a partner, get an injection of cash and save the company if push came to shove. John H. needs the advice than many founders learned...sometimes you need to know how to fire yourself, for the sake of the company.

He did get a partner that brought money. John continued his old ways and the partner got out. Up until 18 months ago he was still doing it.

Old dog. No new tricks.

Yeah, same happened with the guy I knew. Problem is, certain types will take money but give up zero control. They are the searchers for the money guys looking to make a better percentage than the market will give them, but have zero involvement. You then have partners who come in with substantial funds, but want some management influence. Hennessey, and the guy I knew, weren't opened to that aspect.

Hennessey has talked about creating a separate series of companies, so it's hopeful you see him step away from managing certain facets.

Fact is though, while you hear of a few documented cases of issues, Hennessey has probably put out over 10k cars, modified on some level, spanning 2+ decades. If your true batting average is .985, let's be real, that's pretty solid.

Believe me...i owned 3 shops and employees think they see things that aren't there. Employees aren't ownership...and employees often think they have it all figured out, but fact is they are 8hr/day guys who go home and wake up and do their job and leave. They don't live it, they don't know the raw numbers and they all talk sh*t among each other as well. Ex employees are often ex for a cause also.

I'm just saying, given the broad history of accomplishment, without more real documented evidence of issues, I think it's a stretch to say his company is a disaster.
