Default ZR1 on the road in MI

Saw this ZR1 on Woodward Ave. here in MI on Sunday. Has a Manufacturer plate on it and ZO6 stock wheels with what appeared to be snow tires on the rears. these were the best i could manage while driving. i did pull up next to it and confirm the badging was indeed a ZR1. Perhaps it was the color or the weather but it really did not impress me. I wanted to like it ever since i saw the LA Auto Show photos etc, but up close in a daily driving setting it just didnt do it. And, in my humble opinion the rear wing looked ridiculous. I understand the purpose behind it and what it will do on the track, but it looked awfully odd at 40mph.

^^ Lets just say that many of us do not like the big wing but GM will sell 2000 of these very easily for the 755hp alone!

Not my personal choice, but I am glad GM is providing it to those who want it, and/or those who will use it on the track.

If C7's in general don't impress you than that won't either . Wing or no wing.

C7's do impress me. Specifically, I am very impressed by the C7 Z06. I think it looks outstanding. IMO the wing actually takes away from the car as i saw it. Perhaps cleaned up with matching wheels i'd come around. I think I would opt for the lower wing i have seen in other photos if i were in a position to spec one out/purchase.

Definitely familiar with the snow especially after last night We've seen worse, but I don't think Michigan will be as fortunate on the level of snow this season vs the past couple of years. Glad to see the ZR1 stand tall during the snow fall.

Michelin's Alpin PA4 winter tires (testing them on the Z06s and ZR1s in Michigan this winter).
