Default ZR1 features on 2020 Z06

I think history will repeat itself. The new ZR1 features (front bumper with large openings, additional radiators, ZTK) will show up on the 2020 Z06 to help it with its slow sale. The LT4 will remain and the LT5 will be the only thing separating the two cars.

I see the C8 not coming out with their ZR1 variant right out of the gate.

^ I doubt it.....Personally, I think the ZR1 Fascia and extra cooling components should be used on the 2019 Z06. This would finally put the Z06 track overheating issue to rest. I don't think the '17 &'18 cooling enhancements did the trick. However, GM is not going to do that, because it would look too much like the ZR1 and hurt their sales. Besides, I think with the huge price differential between the Z06 and the ZR1 that Z06 sales will not be hurting. Many who want, but can not afford the ZR1, will settle for the Z06. IMHO

Can get a ZR1 if I wanted! I rather have two Z06's so you don't have to settle for either a A8
or M7. You have both! They don't need any cooling enhancements.

The ZR1 enhancements would hurt Z06 sales most don't want a wing or large duck bill front spoiler neither are practical on a street car. ZR1 is for track duty!

Congratulations. There is no shortage of enthusiasts who can own a ZR1 or 2 for that matter. Maybe you can put a hitch on your A8 and tow the stick around in neutral so everyone will know you own both. B.T.W. prepare yourself to see some ZR1's cruising the streets in complete practicality. I'm just busting your chops a little. Merry xmas.

Personally, I absolutely love the new nose on the ZR1. As a matter of fact, there was already a CorvetteForum vendor who asked (in a thread) if any Stingray owners would like to have this nose for their car.

I jumped in and responded "absolutely" !!! But I don't see GM allowing the ZO6 or a Stingray to have that nose. I'd think they would save it specifically for the ZR1....but that is simply my opinion.

It seems like you don't think much of the prospects of this amazing car.

I say no as well. The ZR1 pieces will stay unique to the car. Furthermore, I doubt that there will any more “tooling” to the C7 as it fizzles out. The ZR1 is/was the grand finale to an awesome run IMO.

I'd love it for my Z, but let the ZR go out as King with some things specific only to it

Default Nope! ;)

The ZO6 has simply as possible found its own performance threshold.

But!

If a miraculous in the low 6:50's, or better, shows up! "All bets are Off!"

Why would you think that? How does copying its features to another car lessens it?

The Z06 could use the ZR1's better cooling and better aero, the ZR1 retaining the bragging rights for the LT5.

I don't see to much "tooling" required to mount a different front and rear bumpers and putting on a wing. The C7 may stick around a little longer than you think.

You don't think the LT5, shaker hood and ZR1 badges are enough to separate the two? (No, IMO, too. But GM might think otherwise).

If you don't want to settle for either an A8 or a M7 wait for the C8 with DCT!

He has headers, an air cleaner, and a Tom Wong tune. He has called me out to the freeway; Oregon!

That’s why I said “furthermore,” like additionally, moreover, etc., which inferred that there will not be any additional major changes to the C7. Obviously swapping out body parts would be relatively easy, but that certainly doesn’t mean it will happen. Furthermore, the C7 may not stick around longer than you think.
