The Corvette C7 ZR1 Picture Thread

Some pics of the three entries in the 2019 ZR1 show class at the Club Corvette of CT show yesterday. The black one placed first. There was actually a white coupe that left early and two other ZR1s on display in a dealer area. So 6 ZR1s at one show, pretty impressive!

Making some down-force in 1407, a WeaponX equipped Shadow Gray Metallic ZR. I cannot get enough of this color and how it changes.
This beast had it's clear coat hand sanded out until every spider web and paint imperfection was gone then buffed and finally covered from head to tow.
Beyond that, nothing, This is a naked ZR1 prowling in the wild - no ceramic or other miracle chemical coating was applied. Just the paint correction and the protective film. Every reflective light angle presents a different color to the beholder's eyes.
Too bad you can't hear the Akrapovic's

Entire car sans roof, wing, trunk lid, and back bumper covered in Suntek Ultra by Atlanta Protective Films, ceramic coated by me using CQuartz Skin, and finally past 500 miles and oil change #1. Let the FUN begin!

Unfortunately not. I sure wish that I did. Are you thinking about doing them again? If you are, I'd be interested in some ZR1's as well.

More Shadow Gray Metallic @ 7,500 miles. Still no magic waxes or coatings. Just the paint and a 3M wrap.

Weather still sucks where I am and both cars are cooped up in the garage...……………..safe from the ravages of winter.

WeaponX's Vented Cowl provides much better inter-cooler air circulation (denser-cooler air to the cylinders) and it looks bad-*** great. Because of production vendor problems (they were apparently making copies of copies of the master form) it took quite a while for the initial orders to be fulfilled but they are obviously shipping out now. The "kit" also includes the forward vent piece that attaches to the hood so both pieces color match (black).
When installing them make sure you start out by lowering the height adjusters (on the lower inside of the L-bracket that the 10mm attach nut goes into) to the lowest possible position. I actually honed/routed the range adjustment "slot" out one of them in order to get more clearance between the cowl and the edge of the hood.
