2019 Z Gasket design flaw
The next "Super" Vette in 2019 is gaining a butt ugly rear wing to look like my delivery boys Subaru Wing, Hide it until we hit the track please. Loosing some sexy Vette "Slope" on the front
fenders, and instead of creating something upfront, slapping on the Standard Honeycomb Grill all over the front grill.
The Hood I REALLY LIKE! Engine protruding thru so you can see the baby move with the throttle. Add future manifolds and/or blowers, or what may come 2-10 years down
the pike (can't fit much under hood anymore) BUT......there is a small 2 1/2" wide rubber gasket separating the engine from the hood....with the heat coming off the engine, the extensive vibrations
that only 4" thick rubber motor mounts can handle, how can that gasket survive and keep the environment out of the most precious part of the power train? GM, an answer please.

Fritz, I guess we will all have to wait and see. You assume the gasket is a design flaw. Somehow I'm not worried-I'd buy it and by the way, I LOVE the big rear wing!
Why don't you post your question in the Ask Tadge section?

The wing really identifies the car. Sure you don't "need" it unless you race LOL. How many "need" 505, 638, 650 or 755 hp as well as a host of other options that most of us currently have? To me it's just part of the car. I can remember how wild I thought the Superbird was 48 years ago but don't I wish I had one in the garage now!! There was no mistaking what that car was.

Melting Slicks
I will be ordering mine on Monday with the big wing. I think it really sets the whole car apart from the Z06 and will help keep the car grounded.. I have a couple more days to decide what color I want.

If so he should take the bad Boy ZR1 emblems off too. To assume that someone gets the big spoiler just to show off, well we all know what *** u me means . The spoiler goes with C7 ZR1 as do the huge front air intakes.

GM Made almost 400,000 Trans ams between 1970 and 1981 with shaker hood scoops that were sealed to the hood with a rubber gasket/hood seal.
My first car was 1974 Trans am with a SD-455. I owned the car for 25 years and have known hundreds of Pontiac guys and the rubber seal has never been a problem.
And the motors moved quite a bit on theses cars. Pontiacs had long strokes and made lots of torque.
The seal around the supercharger cover will be just fine.
Actually the Dodge Cuda had the same thing. And now that I think of it the new Challenger offers the same thing.
Maybe we are talking about different things
