I doubt it only because of the C7's awful top-end gearing(at least on the A8) compared to the DCT cars. Also, the GT2RS and 488GTO should be a good bit cleaner aero-wise. At that's how its been for the majority of the C7's life.

Either way, I'm lokoing forward to the track tests.

Default The GT2 RS only has a 7000rpm max! ;)

The C7 ZR1 has leaded bearings, ~150tq on these smaller guys, and that Big *** wing! A different 'C7' animal!
But, a Callaway ZR1 for 200lb less would be nice, of course!
Drifting is illegal at The Ring. The 720s and GTO dial that to mitigate more unmanagable neutral ME handling! They are screamers though and the 720s's light weight/ active aero makes it more of a straight line street beast! Enter the Senna (The Koenigsegg One:1 too)!
For all practical purposes Enter the ZR1!

With an experienced driver, the A8 version should run 10.30-10.40's right off the street with just tire pressure adjustments.
No voodoo, no mineshaft air.

Then the Hero runs will be very fast! M7 will have issues getting traction while
over coming the tall 1st gear.
Yep A8 is the way to go with this car! It is all in the 60ft If the ZR1 can do a good 60ft it will be a rocket.
The z06 has a little edge from less weight over the front axle/end. But the Zr1 stock rubber will help since they are all on Cup tires.

The ZL1 1LE in M7 has really had it's issues at the drag strip from what I've read. I got the A10 in mine, so it's quick as a whip! I wish the C7 hull was large enough for that A10 trans because the A8 doesn't hold a candle it.

Chevy has put together a drag package for the SS that is out and are working on the ZL1 now that offers PCM, TCM, MRC, eLSD calibrations and with a 9% blower increase with their intake and 16" rubber, they're running 10.0s with that ZL1.

So, they're acknowledging the need for straight speed on the Camaro. Hopefully the ZR1 took the eLSD into account for straight line too.

My guess is mag test will be in the 10.7-10.9 range and most drivers in the 10.5-10.7. Hero runs around 10.1-10.3 on MPSC2 tires. Figure M7 .2-.3 behind.

I'm thinking a 9 with the auto. I haven't kept up so excuse my ignorance but aren't there several c6'z running in the 10's? Most would be in the 11. I would assume with 250+hp and whatever torque surely would do better time no?

Obviously we could all be wrong...but given it's roughly the same weight as the C7Z and 105hp more, I'd say .5s across the board is what I'd expect.

Avg. A8 C7Z is 10.7 to 11s so the ZR1 = 10.2 to 10.5s ish

C7Z hero run = 10.4's, ZR1 hero run = 9.9 to 10.2

Hero Run A8 C7Z on Drag Radials 10.2, ZR1 DR hero run = 9.7 to 10.00

I think that's pretty realistic. I think most people will be seeing 10.4 to 10.6 from the car bone stock in an A8 and the experienced, perfect air folks doing better than that.

I think with some tires they will run high nines in good air. You can run high nines with a c7z with bolt ons witch is about 100 HP over stock so I would think the ZR1 should be right there.

I think I saw a video where a C6(think it was a ZR1) got to 180mph like 10 seconds faster than a C7 Z06.
I think you are correct.
