ZR1s out in the wild.
Hey all.
Vegas is a popular place for a lot of manufacturers to test out their pilot cars. I saw a c6 in late '02 and a Stingray about nine months before they were released for sale.
Last week I was driving down a heavily traveled road close to the house, same place I saw the Stingray. I'm in heavy traffic but THIS caught my attention.
Both had manufacturer's plates.
I was only able to get up to the convertible and that's when I noticed it had a small deck wing. I got the attention of the driver and asked what option it was. She said "I'm not allowed to say". To which I said, "Oh! ZR1!". She shrugged and said, "Well...."
Interestingly, the convertible had a yellow front bumper cover. It also had the very aggressive front splitter. The one thing that really caught my attention was how high the cowl on the car is. I would venture to say it's at least 3" above the rest of the hood.
Sadly, due to traffic, this was the only picture I could get.

A) Safety awarness.
B) It's a Sportscar, not a Muscle Car.
I'm 5'10" and every square inch of visibility helps in my Z06.
Anyone who says visibility looking out of a C7 is fine must have 3 eyes.

OK, here in Michigan this morning where it was still dark, I came across a dark red/maroon color but it did not have a manufacturer plate but a regular plate. I know the pictures are dark and you really can't see the car or big wing but you can see those rear tires. Trust me, I rolled down the window and it sounds like a beast!

Those Z06 rims look good on the ZR1, especially in Torch Red.
