No Transparent Top for ZR1?
In looking through the order system I see a dual top option but no stand alone transparent top option. Interesting........ Wonder why?

I asked when I ordered mine because my Z06 came with just one top and it was transparent, but had to get the dual roof package to get that on my ZR, there was no stand alone option, probably because of all the carbon fiber the ZR comes with GM priced it into the car and took that decision away

Did any of you guys who ordered the car know of this for sure? Can the transparent roof be ordered independently or need to order the duel roof option? I plan on ordering one for 2020 and just curious because that what I have on my Z.

You can always buy one later from a dealer like Cultrag.

The Z06 came standard with the Body colored roof. If ordered the transparent (995?) you lost the Body colored roof with the headliner. If you ordered Dual roofs ( 1995) you got the Carbon Fiber and Transparent. ( no body colored)
Why is the dual on the Zr 2995 if it is only adding a transparent roof?

Does anyone know if the ZR1 tops are different than the tops on a 17 or 18 Z06 ? I have an extra transparent top from my current 17 Z, wonder if it will fit on the new ZR1 when I get it......

I have an 18 Z06 that I am quite happy with . My dealer informed me they have an Allocation for a ZR1 if I want it. We were trying to see what my order would amount to. options and pricing, but could not find a stand alone Transparent Top. I have read the above but I don't want the Dual Top Option. I like the Transparent Top as it gives me more head room.

Any transparent top from any year or model C7 should fit right onto the ZR1.
Use the one off your current C7, buy one from an owner selling theirs, or like Poor-sha said just buy one from a GM dealer/supply source. It's not going to be a hard to get item like the rear wing currently seems to be.

I found the Corvette Configurator to be somewhat finikey and not list all options. It does not carry all options that are available based on my experiences with it recently and even last year’s version too. So, I would recommend if you have a question like the one the OP asked you should contact a Corvette dealer (one of the bigger ones would be better) to address your specific question. They can give you a better answer quickly. Try sending an email to Mike Firman at Criswell Chevy.

There is nothing to explain. If you want a transparent top - you have to order the dual roof package.
You also cannot order a body colored roof panel for a ZR1 - there is no such option.
You cannot, and I repeat, YOU CANNOT order a stand alone transparent roof panel for your ZR1 when placing an order for a ZR1. You either accept the standard exposed carbon fiber roof panel, or you order the dual roof package at $2,995 which includes the standard exposed carbon fiber roof panel and a transparent roof panel.
I do not know why they did that, but that's how it is...
