Nope, will be many, many months. I'm not in any hurry anyway.

Talked with a friend today, that while he was # 1 for his ZR1 order at his dealer, he had earlier asked and agreed with the dealer to not submit his order for many weeks — so that my friends’s order would only be later submitted to GM in time to receive his ZR1 in the June time period.

Spoke to dealer today. My car at 1100 but expected to go to 2000 on Monday. No known constraints on my order, I have an automatic. Dealer states car may be assembled in the next 30 days or so and will keep me updated on progress.

Glad you car was picked up this consensus.

The TPW is March 5th. The mandatory new model Quality Control period will be at least two weeks, and “could well be” more. Probably be April, maybe even mid April before first ones appear at the dealership.

Hope your dealer is not waiting until Monday to actually submit it, that it is already submitted and is 1100 right now.

Reason: Unlike the usual DOSP process, in the document dealers received on ZR1 allocation on Decmember 12th, it has a specific admonition to have orders in at 1100 by yesterday, that unlike the usual process for non supply limited Corvettes, that dealers’ allocations are not protected. Here is the actual paragraph from that letter (that a little birdie delivered to me).

^^^ At the Rolex Corvette Corral right now and Harlan Charles is giving us a presentation about the ZR1. You can see on this slide that Mar 5th is when production will begin, and like elegant said they probably won’t be delivered until into April:

Factory rep told my dealer this afternoon that manuals probably won’t head down the line until early June.....

That sucks.. I was #1 at my dealer. Order #4 got picked up yesterday.

Dealers are being told to pull their manual orders so that the autos can get picked up more cleanly. They will be notified when to re-enter the M7 cars

That is completely different from what I learned this morning from someone who talked with the head of GM scheduling, i.e., it was confirming the 7M’s will start down the line in 3 to 4 weeks — exactly what GM said in their formal constraint document to their dealers yesterday.

GM’s exact language in that constraint report for the 7M was ”less than four weeks.”

As earlier posted two days ago on the forum by ALF01:

For those who wish to see it visually, here is a GM screen print of yesterday’s 7M constraint for the ZR1:

You can see on that picture I put up in post# 10 that it says:

New Mobil1 0W40 oil for all models can be used for street and track
Harlan also said that DOT 4 brake fluid will used in the ZR1. Later on somebody asked a question about using it on the street and he said the only thing running DOT 4 full time would be that it would require fluid changes more frequently - and he indicated that DOT 4 would be used in all Vettes.

Yes. I read the same thing, but this source says that’s referring to when the constraint might be lifted. Real world “off the record” actual production start is late May// first week of June. I hope this source is wrong! Time will tell!

As of 1/25/18, I'm in the system thanks to Mike at Criswell. Thats all I know. That's all I care about. I'll enjoy my wait without the drama.
