I had several Ford die-hards swear up and down there was no way the ZR1 would beat the GT. Hope they are enjoying their meal of crow. The butt hurt on the Ford forums is strong!

Well done Chevy.

I have a C6 ZR-1 and it is a fantastic car. I absolutely love it..... but this car is a ****ing beast. I would buy one in a second if I could afford it!!!

Read the article and the Z06'S time was not to shabby at 2.39.77 but the ZR1 time and car is the NEW kING!

Would like to see it on some of the other popular U.S. tracks, should do very good at them too.

Nice display of performance. We’ll see the ZR1 at more venues soon enough.

You may see 53's or so is my guess.

If it proves reliable an M7 looks to be in my future as well.
Yeah I agree. I:54's for sure and probably 1:53's. I don't think GM is done trying for a hot lap and this was just an easy way to blunt the FGT news.

Wow! The performance of this thing is off the charts! Cars are getting crazy fast.

I can't help but think that running a clean lap at a DE would prove most difficult with such a vehicle.

I think I'm starting to like that hideous front fascia and wing mounted over the spoiler. Guess its not so bad afterall.
And seriously, red has got to be the best looking color on that car. With those black wheels that car just looks demonic.

Now, what I can't help but wonder is how fast this car can be around the ring. The Porsche 918 set a time of 2:43:10 which about 6 seconds off the ZR1s time. The 918 lapped the ring in 6:57. Doing some logical numbers here in my head the ZR1 could shave 12 seconds off the 918s time on the ring putting ahead of the Huracan Performante and GT2RS at 6:45.

Actually scratch that. You guys are looking at the N-ring future record holder. Just watch.

And if it reached 170 down the straigh with the ZTK pkg that means this car doesn't have a **** ton of drag like the Zo6 does. Maybe that means will see some 1/4 miles times on par for a 755hp car as the zo6 seems a but slow for a car with that much power. I wonder how fast this car is with the low wing.

Launches will still spin the tires like crazy, probably even more unless they upgrade launch control. That's the problem with the z06, just doesn't hook up fast enough.

Amazing. Looks like the ZR1 is a true track beast out of the gate.

I honestly think the ZR1 will beat the GT2rs and Huracan P. around the ring.

At this point two cars may be quicker than the ZR1. The 720s (highly doubtful) and the upcoming 488 GTO. The Mclaren Senna isn't even worth mentioning being its price and will prob late 6:30-6:38

Yes of course. I mean once the car is already motivated. But I wouldnt hold my breath for any 0-60 record times from a Corvette other than the ME. And even then it will be doubtful unless it has AWD and a super tech tranny.
The C7 isnt rear heavy enough, wayyyyyy too much torque and a slow transmission. It WILL spin. lol
