I looked at all of the replies and judged which were a defensive reply. There were 4 and they all were defending black wheels. If you feel you have to defend (your choice) I'd say you were not happy because you feel that others look down on your choice.

I'm not much of a chrome fan on a sports car, but BLACK chrome, now I can get behind that. I had my ZL1 wheels done in this finish and it's great. Dark in low light, mirrored gunmetal in direct light

Would be nice to see them go powder coating on Corvette wheels as well - which also aids in the range of tints, and is much more durable than painted wheels.
GM needs to get more current on wheel finishes for this rig.

You don't even have to go to the colors. There are an infinite range of tint coats from nearly silver through darker tints.

They are a powder coat Black Chrome very nice! IMO Better than paint or any chrome!

I would have no problem with black wheels if their owners would clean them once in a while. Not always but way too often people use what they call a "murdered" look to simply allow the car to be filthy and covered with dust and grime.

To each his/her own. I've mostly owned cars with chrome wheels..but I've ordered my ZR1 with black this time around. IMO gives a more sinister look. But then again, I'm gonna be the one making the payments on that beyootch!! So doesn't matter what anyone else thinks really... lol
