If the ZR1 is just a Z06 then the Z06 is just a Stingray right? All they did was add a little power and some aero pieces? Lets see you meet one on the track or line up next to one at a stop light in your Z06. Might change your mind
Love this stuff guys buying ZR1's haven't got them yet but now they are knocking the Z06's!

Your post is pretty funny too! The ZR1 is built on the Z06 chassis,
Lets see the block, the heads, the crank had the keyway widened for strength to allow for more twist needed to spin the bigger blower, the frame, the transmission, the doors, the tail lights all the same. They added 4 heat exchanger's a new front end. They added parts and carbon bits but it remains 85 -90 percent the same car. Both really carry the same carbon hoods and roofs and the same non carbon material fenders. The Z06 weighs less.

The Z06 has 650hp the ZR1 755hp. The ZR1 is a really a track edition of the Z06 .

The huge front bill and the large wing to a lessor extent will prove too impractical for street use. Streets vary with dips then the cars need to go through driveways and so forth that the ZR1 will not like but it is EXACTLY what I bought the Z06 for STREET use.

I'll guess way less than 1 percent of the cars end up on the track. Most guys bought the Z06 for street vs track use by over 10-1.
GM did a great job on the Z06 as far a street car. The true sales driver
not the track. Then with the real world discounts on the Z06 vs MSRP on the ZR1!
Leaves a lot of cash for the many upgrade choices for the Z06 with no worry about any warranty. When it is so much less you can scrap an whole engine and have 1 put in and still be ahead.

Looking forward to seeing if my modified Z06's can hang with the ZR1
or will it be vise versa.
See you at the stop light or on the interstate.

This should be called the "everyone justify your corvette purchase forum".

Default The slippery (But lightened!) Ferrari! ;)

Consider what's shaked out in our top fuel dragsters runs now being a bit shorter. Funnycars with more drag and bite are relatively faster!
Anyway, the ZR1's wing (be it conceptually off the Viper) represents more of a price paid!
