Is it just me or does it seem strange that no press have tested the ZR1 yet?

It just seems odd to me that the car is in production and no Press Corps have had the opportunity to drive and report on the car. I would have thought that we'd have at least estimated Performance times if not actual performance times! Maybe I'm just a bit antsy but seems that GM is being rather protective of this car vs the release of the Z06. I have no doubt that this car will meet/exceed everyone's expectations!

Not strange at all. Recently, it took MotorTrend months after the track tests to release its 720S and Ford GT reviews. It is what it is.

Scraping the splitter.
Production of the C7 started in late-August of 2013 and customer cars were delivered beginning in September 2013.
Seriously, just stop with the ridiculous innuendos that something is amiss.

Post up a link where the Z06 started production in 2013......
You are clearly the one that is wrong.

But it doesn't diminish the fact that conspiracy theories about why there isn't yet a magazine test are awfully premature.
In the end, the C7 ZR1 probably won't hold as much luggage or get as good of fuel mileage as your C6 Z06 so no point in you trading into the newer car.

Well by golly, Joe, you're right.

OK I got a good laugh out of that one.

I too am eager.
Watching how fast it accelerates up to 160 mph in the VIR video I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised when instrumented tests come out.

I'd be happy if Chevrolet stiffed the auto press, they are trash and usually very vindictive and wrong about cars they don't get paid to promote. We don't need these kind of people.

If the ZR1 overheats, GM will really have a red face. I read yesterday that another class action suit has been filed by Z06 owners.

The Stingray was revealed on 1.13.13. The first auto media reviews were on July 23rd (guessing that was the embargo release date). Could well be a while before we see ZR1 reviews.
If the same time frame were to repeat, we shall see the first auto media reviews released around the end of April to mid-May.
