Agreed.

OK, "track focused" then.
In wasn't JUST the ACR, the combined models of Vipers typically sold in the hundreds per year.
Unfortunately, Viper was never a competitor to Corvette.
Although they should have, Dodge never made a big enough investment in manufacturing to go after Corvette in the marketplace.

How many C6 ZR1s were sold?
Over 5 years 4,684 were sold...or 937 per year.
I agree that the Viper was never a direct competitor to the corvette. The price point and target audience was completely different. The point I was making is that a truly "purpose-built track car" has a MUCH narrower customer base than a more well rounded car like the ZR1.

Its well documented that the reason for poor ZR1 sales was due to the economic downturn during the production run. Not the case this time and the C7 ZR1 will sell MUCH better. Thats already proven in the demand over the first MY so far. Approx 2200-2500 units over MY2019 is clearly not going to meet the demand and some buyers ready to lay their money down this year will have to wait.

Yes, I have my VIN, #65. Picking up Friday morning at museum. I got my insurance yesterday at State Farm and when they put the VIN in, it came up Corvette ZR1 on my insurance card. Not sure if my agent did that or if they already knew the prefix code? Can't wait!

Curious to see real world insurance price change from a Z06 to ZR1. when I priced out my C7Z from a C7 GS it was almost double and labelled an "exotic" (insirance speak for 50/50 chance this car doesn't get totalled by owner).

This is great!!! I’d like to order some ZR1 parts to use as upgrades for my C7 but I believe they require having a vin number to order them. If you or anyone would be willing to send their vin to use so I can order parts, i’d appreciate it!

Check other insurance companies. Very good rates on my Z06. My C6Z was a LOT higher. 16 Z06 was not much more than my 10 GS

I find it difficult to believe there would be so many willing to spend $120k+ on a Chevy when much more desirable offerings are available for not that much more $$$, but whatever.

Anyone notice that the ZR1 at the beginning of this thread at Hendricks Chevrolet that was listed (mistakenly) under MSRP was VIN #2!!! That in itself was worth a premium....

Quick Reply: 2019 ZR1 already available below MSRP?
