ZR1's at Spring Mountain
Was at Spring Mountain for the Corvette School.
They had 20 ZR1's arrive on Wednesday - all driven in.
From what I saw the lowest VIN was 00010 and the highest was 00097.
All were MN7's and had black interiors - Yellow, Red, White, Admiral Blue, Watkins Gray and Silver were the only exterior colors.
They are cars for use with the new ZR1 program, and GM's event at the track next week.

Good observation!!
They all look like ZTK cars with the high wing, but none of them appear to have the tall splitter end plate that is part of the ZTK package for a coupe.
A convertible ordered with the ZTK package doesn't come with the tall splitter end plates, but all those cars are obviously coupes.
What's up Spring Mt???

They all have VIN’s
I guess that blows the “pre-production models” theory. Thumbs up to them being manuals. Looking forward to being coached where the limits (I mean mine) are in this car.

Spring Mountain had to receive a large quantity of the first production ZR1s so they can full "staff" a full ZR1 school when they start up.

They're probably all pre-production cars with all kinds of quirks. When the Stingray's first came out I was there and many of the cars has mis-matched parts, buttons that didn't work and other flaws. Those cars are not typically SMMR's vehicles. GM owned them and will pick them up when the school program ends, assuming of course it's all handled in the same way as before.

However #0097 is a Sebring Orange ZR1 built for Mexico...

WOW welcome to the ZR1 buffet line... If one was having a difficult time choosing a color for their Z, Spring Mountain would be an excellent place to make a stop, amongst other obvious reasons. Rick Malone and the team at SM are second to none. Can't wait to make a return visit this fall. Thanks for sharing

75% of the ZR1s in the Registry are automatics. 0% of Spring Mountains ZR1s are automatics.
That ought to tell us something.

Ron Fellows is a 3 pedal man.
I remember Fellows speaking in Corvette Corral at Road America IMSA weekend a couple years back. He talked about the “old days” when they had no cool suits, crazy interior temperatures and hour after hour of toe heel braking/shifting.. he said they’d get dangerously dehydrated. I think they will still give ZR1 participants the option to use the rev match or “old school it” with toe heel.. personally I find it difficult to toe heel my C6 Callaway on the street because I’m never braking that hard. I double clutch downshifts instead.

M7 in Constraint
We now know were 20 of them went. Maybe other manuals to other affiliated tracks or performance centers? No one seemed to give any explaination for the manual to be in constraint.
