Nice !!
Nice and thanks for sharing .
I just realized that the ZR1 came with about $19K worth of options that one would have to pay in a Z06.
Exposed CF roof 2K
Exposed CF hood 2K
Exposed CF ground effects 4K
Exposed CF rear spoiler 2K
CF dash trim 1K
Ceramic brakes 8K
So if you included all of that options in a Z06 , the ZR1 is really only about 20K more than the Z06 . Such a bargain .

I drove it around a bit yesterday in town, there is a definite difference between this car and my previous Z06 in track mode, the sound the shifts are obvious to me. AND they fixed the shoulder seat belt guide or holder (what ever its called). In my last car the belt was always coming out of the guide. They changed the guide so it stays in now.
My Vette experience went like this:
1. 2006 3LT with the ZR1 option bought it used.
2. Traded up to a 2012 3LT Grand Sport, it was when the 2014's were coming out and this was left over and heavily discounted.
3. Then ordered my first car in early 2015, a new 2016 Z06. I remember driving it home, what a fantastic car.
4. Finally worked my way up to this one...Time flies as you work your way up the Corvette ladder, or is if a sickness you get...
The odd thing is as I think about all of these cars I have never purchased a set of tires (the 2006 really needed them too) or done a brake job on any of them. Mainly due to storage all winter, occasional short drives during the rest of the year, and a few long trips each year. My Z06 had 9700 miles on it over the 2 years and 8 months I had it.

Exactly, the guy who did my Z06 tells me that the templates are not out yet. Anyone out there have any idea when this might take place? I assumed GM would make that info available, he told me nope that is not how it works. I have a big drive I would like to take this car on next month. I really do not want to take it until I get the plastic on.

Congratulations on your new ZR1 have always had silver corvettes until my 2015 zo6 that was black. I was leaning more towards the Orange but after I saw your car, I am sold on that Color. Your ZR1 is beautiful, i love the red interior with the red calipers. Enjoy. Keep the pictures coming. Thanks.

Dan, I just saw one Vendor with the templates now in stock! I'll try to put my finger on that thread for you.

Thanks, I like it too it was the best pic I took where the lighting was right. All the black shows well. Carbon fiber parts and the carbon flash mirrors show up well.
