Great combination of color / options; just the way I was having mine ordered. Congrats!

However, I have been very disciplined - I decided to cancel my order, and wait for the ME, while holding on to my Z07 (being first registered Z06 worldwide). I will probably buy a ZR1 down the road, for the right price - just not now.

Nice post! Quite sure Tadge was right about the Z06 feels like a slug. I haven't drove the ZR1 but I'm sure he was right!

The orange seems to be what we'll be seeing most of in the ZR1. My buddy picked his up at the Museum Tuesday, there was another on across from his. After he took his home, they pulled another orange one in, and then a fourth orange one two up from that one. There's a white convertible one in there as well. His is VIN #60. Yep, lots and lots of orange ones.

At the N.Y. auto show and it seems every manufacturer is on the orange whirlwind.

Congrats OP! Drive it in good health!! And like I said in a different post, finally a nice (non geriatric) Orange from GM that looks like it belongs to this century!

And SMH at some of the haters saying stuff like "can't wait till it gets discounted or depreciates hard so I can pick one up". Totally unnecessary comments! If you're cheap or just car poor and can't afford to be one of the first to pick one up then just keep your comments to yourself! Believe me, people who buy Corvette's (in any model) when they first come out are mostly smart enough to know what they're doing and financially established to do so. I hope GM comes out and just puts a very limited number of units being made (like Porsche does....although knowing GM that's highly unlikely) and keep the prices high on the ZR1.

I ordered mine in triple black and really love it. However, that orange is just stunning in the sun. Wow!

Enjoy that great ride. Congrats!

P.S. - You’ll be glad you didn’t wait five years like some will.

Triple Black is really one of my favorites. I'm afraid My OCD would not let me enjoy the car as it was intended. Black on this car is epic.

Agreed waiting for your material life rewards is like waiting in line for your spot in the cemetery. it will come eventually if you wait long enough.

Congrats on your new baby!

As another potential owner (fingers crossed), can you tell me (us) what you think about the ride quality difference between the Z06 and the ZR1 ZTK?

Me and the wife drove up in a Infinity Q50 rented from Enterprise which was ok to say at best. Once we got into the ZR1 the comfort and ride quality was light years better. I am a 6,4" and need my space for comfort. the ZR1 provided all of that compared to the infinity. Take it for what its worth this thing is an engineering marvel fore what it can do.

Good luck and Enjoy today because tomorrow is not guaranteed!
