Unfortunately, I see the C8 coming in at 3500 or more again. I don't see GM being that smart and saying "Look we need to figure out how to make these things 3000-3300 pounds like the competition". They need to start playing with more money. So be it if the car costs $150,000. The costs of some of the really light ones (Like a 570S) is coming down actually. Can't you get, granted a very low spec, 570S for under $190k? I mean, if Corvette went HALF WAY in that direction and skipped some of the more costly things they'd be headed in the right direction. I'm REALLY hoping for a nice TT V8 that has plenty of tuning head room and makes awesome power. We need a great engine again. I'm worried they won't do any such thing though, their latest TT engines have been unimpressive to me, the LF4 in the ATS-V has very little head room, and the TT CT6 engine is unimpressive as hell.
Two sets of golf clubs, man. Two sets. Until they get that person and the designer of the plastic pizza box engine covers off Team Corvette, your good ideas are just a dry erased portion on the "must have" section of the C8 board.

the c7z isn’t a “chevy corvette” it is a “Cadillac corvette”. C7 is A Cadillac 2 door thats hard to get in and out of. Lots of Charlie Tuna accoutrements. nice stuff. but are they really needed?

mclarens changing the game like the C6Z did when it first came out in 2006 (even though the C6Z did it at a much cheaper price) ... I really hope GM will answer with the C8

If two cars have equal acceleration, but one gets a jump and is already .5 second ahead, it will still be .5 second ahead at the finish. The thing is that at 130 mpg, .5 second covers a lot of ground so the gap that began as 1 car length grows to 3 or 4 lengths at the finish line.

That's why these 2 pretty equally matched cars, whichever one gets the jump, wins.

I love the McLarens. They really did those cars right. Too bad they are so pricey and unreliable.
