Viper still the King?

Reality is like I have said many times that it all comes down to the driver. What it does at the Ring or wherever is meaningless.
My ACR-E didn't go any faster or slower once after they wadded up two cars senselessly on those horriffic excuse for tires during the privateer attempt at the Ring. Nor will any ZR1 owners magically find more pace even if the ZR1 is capable of sub 6:40 at the Ring.
That said well driven I expect a ZR1 will leave my ACR-E like my Viper is tied to a stump.

i want to see what Randy Pobst runs at laguna seca with the zr1.on the same day he ran a 1:33.62 in a 2015 z06 and a 1:30.49 in the acr.then at a later date ran 1:28.65 in the acr which beat his lap time of the 918.
if someone hasn't seen this video,it's a great vid about the vipers quest to go sub 7 minutes at the ring.

Lol passed cars will always have an affect on future cars. You can't say the ACR was an iconic car. Don't get me wrong the ZR1 is an incredible car. I'd like to see GM release some times and stats soon. I wish it was still around as it gave competition which is always good. Nothing like 2 100k cars stacking up to 250k+ cars. The ZR1 has VIR under it's belt already and hopefully more to come.

The last picture on Instagram makes me think GM is up to no good with the GS and possibly a Z06 amongst the ZR1's there. Wonder why they have the whole fleet out there??

Though, I would think with a 100 more hp, we should continue to see viper records fall.

they should have Tommy Milner hot lap the zr1 at road atlanta - on the same day In a z06 he beat Randy's Road Atlanta z06 lap time decisively while talking to the camera the whole lap lol

I believe with a few more attempts, the ZR would have prob beaten the acr by some more than just .1....but either way, that's far from smashing. Chances are the new ZR is gonna beat most of (if not all) of the acr's times. I think Leguna is where it will have the most difficult time beating the acr.
I think in addition to being the granddaddy of all vettes, it was def part of the making of the ZR to dethrone the acr as the the track king....regardless or not that vipers aren't being made anymore....or how many vettes sell compared to vipers or the typical fanboi bullchyt....which goes on over there as well. Just like many guys over here didn't/doesn't wanna give dodge/the acr its props, there are guys over there (and even here for crying out loud) doing the same to the new ZR1.
