Never saw that video. Very funny.

He knows very little about cars or the auto industry. He had a video about "Why the Chevy SS was a total failure" (hint: it was never meant to "succeed", GM only imported it because they had to).

This is totally a bullshit review. Not because he did not do his homework about the ZR1, its because social media ppl know nothing about cars but talk and repeat talk. Honestly the New ZR1 will the ultimate corvette if she did sub7 in nurburgring.

He's a total shill for European cars, especially Porsche since he once worked for them.
He has said countless times that he's not a fan of the Corvette, going as far back as his days on Jalopnik. And if you pay attention, Jalopnik is very anti-GM.
The fact that the Demon got a higher "Doug Score" is laughable.

Welcome to the social media world, boys.
DD is not qualified to do reviews BUT, it's not about knowledge, it's about clicks. SO.....do your part and DON'T watch him and then he'll eventually GO AWAY.
BTW, you're not missing ANYTHING by NOT watching him. He is not only lame, he doesn't prepare (lots of factual errors in every "review" he does)

There's nothing at all wrong with someone driving a car and making a video about it and their opinions. Not in the least. The issue is when they, through whatever means, become a "resource". That's what's happened with Doug.
He knows very little and his opinions are just his and aren't worth anything more than that. If you want to watch a guy give off his opinions on something he knows very little about: cool. Go for it. But don't for a moment consider him a "go-to". If he were, he wouldn't have had to borrow the ZR1 to do this. GM would have included him in the Road Atlanta thing. :-)
