C7 ZR1 Beats Viper around Road Atlanta (Randy Pobst)
*EDIT WRONG SECTION, thought I was in the C7 ZR1. Mods Move/Delete Accordingly*
I don't think this has been posted anywhere else.
Honestly I expected better than 0.1 second. However, 0.1 seconds would make its time 1:26.53. The C7 Z06 driven by Randy did 1:30.18. So ~3.65 seconds faster than the Z06.

It really shocks my mind that Corvette blogger is repeating this bs fake news about the ZR1 running a 7:12 at Nurburgring. Some bystander/Viper lover basically claimed they did a timed run of ONE of the laps during testing and somehow has been perpetuated as a THE lap time.
I hope GM's sues their ***

What exactly would they sue for? If that is the time the car ran then, it is what it is. Chevy will post their official time/video when they do it. Being pissy about a time that isn't even official makes no sense, regardless whether people post/write about it. People are writing about what they say at the event. I bet when all the camo was on they probably ran a time slower than that just messing around. No one has stated that was an official time so why even worry about it.

He said he beat Viper's record by 0.1 but didn't say that he set a new record either - I wonder if that means a GM factory driver set the record around the same day?
just speculating

When the dust settles, the winner is just that. Buzzer beater or 1 point margin, a win is a win
The amount of bench racing and BS that goes around on forums is just lame. Run what ya brung and STFU.
