No way to borrow to buy that car way over book!

It depends on how much equity buyer puts into the purchase. If the loan amount is sufficiently less than the expected market value of the car - even upon repossession - the buyer takes the equity hit. Not the lender.

Take a look at Ebay for the Dodge Demons. Some are asking up to $160,000 for a car with an MSRP of $93K.

Remember, "It only takes one!"

Area code is FL, just as bad as CA for new car speculative inflation.

I don't know...I think I'd take the old farts calm demeanor over 717's melodramatics. I'm sure if 717 doesn't have a click bait video already, there will definitely be a, "BROKE MY ZR1!!!" with him face palming and kneeling in front of it. There will also be an obligatory "crying" emoticon shopped onto the pic. He makes those old farts feel like a welcomed breath of fresh air. Good for him for making his money like he does, but man his videos are goofy as hell. I watched part of one and that was enough. It's definitely stuff geared for tween/teens/early 20s car people. His mountain-out-of-a-molehill strat works pretty well though, he's got A LOT of copy cats with lesser cars that make the same dumbass overly dramatic videos.

Brevity is not 717s friend. Saw one where he was asking people to post it on Corvette Forum.

I dont watch his videos because I hate that type of clickbait, but you gotta admit, hes turned driving cars into a very, very lucrative business. You can see Katech trying to latch onto some of that now, probably every tuner does now, but not on the same level. I think it takes a certain threshold that normal people do not want to cross as far as decorum is concerned That's probably where the money is. He gets the views because nobody wants to watch people being "polite" or "normal" or "driving the cars the way they should be driven (like grandpas)"
