Still don't like the way he didn't give one of the forum members credit for running a 10.1 even so on drag radials.. Seems like his video's are all about "look at me! I was the first!" When clearly there are Z06's in the fast list that ran that too. Looks like you're a believer in auto's as well as I am based on your sig. Just based on his video I cant wait to get mine in an A8 on street tires and post it.

He did give credit to the 10.12 pass. He said that's crazy fast, and he hopes that with perfect conditions/A8/drag radial/aero removed that they're capable of a 9s. The only thing he said is that I don't really count that as being "Bone stock" which would mean "As it left the dealership showroom." Mike isn't as big of an idiot as most people seem to think. He's got some nice rides that are paid for by his YouTube channel and intern he gains a lot more subscribers/views than most people due to his video marketing (Some would say "click bait") and content availability. I mean he can make videos on Supercars, American muscle, drag racing, road coursing (Next weekend), new cars, big lifted diesel trucks, and he's created a whole circle of companies that support him along the way and he MASSIVELY benefits those companies as well. He practically MADE InShane Designs, Diablo Formula Racing, and even Race Proven Motorsports, while they were a big shop, he's brought LOTS of eyes and probably customers at this point too. He's one of the few people on YouTube that helps people out and plugs for other people as much as he does. He made 2 channels pick up 80,000+ subscribers in exchange for MIKE spending money out of his pocket. I mean what kind of YouTuber does that other than Mike? I haven't seen any.

And I like both transmissions. All of my cars up until the C7Z and ZL1 were Manuals and I still like rowing my own gears. But I am growing to appreciate the speed of modern Autos/DCTs more and more for showing the max potential of cars.

About 9 years ago, I was one of the first guys to run the ZR1 at the track. My first track day I did a best of 11.05 stock on stock tires and the 2nd track day I did a 10.85 to be the first into the 10s. I never considered my passes perfect.

There is no question the new ZR1 will be faster. The fact that he was able to get a 10 with only a 1.9x 60' time shows that. The C6 ZR1 need a low 1.8x or better 60' to break into the 10s

Agreed in today's times with the way Autos are improving drastically there's no way a Manual car can compete (in a straight line) unless you have a Pro behind wheel.. Still impressive either way

There does seem to be a lot of hate for this guy! I give him a lot of credit for doing what he is doing with his new ZR1! Let's face it, the major majority of these cars are being purchased by older gents that will drive them very sparingly, docile and spend most of their time at cruise nights with a lawn chair parked next to it.

1.7 is not happening with the M7 on stock tires! That was about it with out a drag radial.

There have been plenty of drivers who have done 1.7s in a manual C7 Z06 or C6 ZR1 on stock tires. I see no reason why it wont happen in the new ZR1 with good track prep.

^ I agree, he got a 1.8 on his third run! I know for sure that with a few more track launches and likely him lowering the tire pressure a bit he will def get a 1.7x 60 and that would be a 10.5.

When he gets DR's that car is going to do low tens no doubt. He is shifting the **** out of that car so all to figure out now is the launch. Its coming together, it takes time and practice.

31MPH in the back half is just crazy fast.
Put a drag radial on it and we will see low to mid 10's on an M7.

I just appreciate my cars and care more for my cars then he does. I think some watch and cringe when you watch him do donuts with his new no mile ZR1. Nope don't reason to hate at all not sure why people think that when it more entertainment than anything.

Just imagine putting Race fuel, a tune, and DR's. Pretty much a bone stock car that will run high 9's. Technology is AMAZING... I remember 20 years ago when the fastest guy around was running low 12's. And that was mind blowing fast. Now a days unless you run 10's or faster you are just a normal joe.
