Looks nice. Has it been tested at 214 mph?

IMO this diffuser looks better without the wing. That azz is to busy. Not trying to be negative just trying to give honest feedback.

No, no, no-this looks fantastic! It really ties in the big wing better with the car.

It looks really good! Wish your car wasn't black so we could see the shape and visual effect of the diffusor with more contrast. Looks great on your car though.

I'd consider this for mine, but I have 2 concerns:
1) GM engineered the aero of the stock diffusor, APR probably did not engineer theirs for track use or top speed stability. If they did (which would be awesome!) I'd like to hear from them how it changes a) the ZR1's Cd and b) the increase in downforce and c) the change in the car's center of pressure.
2) I have had some bad experiences with aftermarket CF - from what seemed to be high quality manufacturers. For my ZR1 I would want to know the resin(s) used and what warranty (terms and length) exists for the product.

Additionally to this I would like to know how much it weighs compared to the stock unit. Some aftermarket CF weighs more than stock metal parts, shockingly.

I would venture to guess that the affects on aero are negligible. Neither this nor the stock piece are a true diffuser. Because this car doesn't have a full belly pan, this is more of a trim piece than anything else.

- Possibly. But the car doesn't have to have a flat belly for a diffusor to work, the belly pan just makes it work better. On the ZR1 we see a few things to indicate that underbody air is being managed by GM:
1) The front splitter is higher in the middle than the edges. This would purposefully allow more air under the body. It stands to reason that GM would make this choice on purpose to feed airflow out of the diffusor. Although it is also possible that it exists to help the hood vent heat via pressure differential too.
2) The side skirts are not merely sexy. They block air from entering the underbody area after spilling off the sides of the car which most often originates from the high pressure A-pillar/mirror area.

The stock diffusor is obviously not as complex as one you would see on a C7R, but it will have an effect on the ZR1's aero. After looking at the APR one some more I wonder if the chopped trailing edges of the diffusor fins may actually introduce counter-productive turbulence to the airflow. The fins we see on race cars are usually only about 1/16" thick.

I think it’s too busy. But I’m not making the payments. As long as you like it then that’s all that matters 👍🏽 If everyone had the same taste the world would be boring.

Wish there was a way to replace the entire back end/taillights of the C7 as it's the only part I dislike.
