I have a sold order ZR1 VWNTXW and the customer is asking about option code RVK and adding it to his order. I do not see it in the guide and was wondering if you could find out availability and what exactly it is. It may not be the correct code as it was listed on a Corvette forum, so what we are looking for is a performance intake upgrade of some kind. He wants to add it if we can and I want to be able to tell him the truth on availability. Thanks in advance and hope you had a great weekend.
From District Manager
Hi Mark,
Currently RVK simply doesn’t exist and I am unaware of any future plans.
While this is my own personal speculation, I feel a change of any type would be slim on such a limited production vehicle. Although, changes have happened historically on a very rare occasion...
If you’d like I can reach out to the plant manager tomorrow. It’s unlikely he’d have different news but it’s worth a shot for good measure. What number can I reach you at?
Call me anytime. Best regards,.."

It's a ZR1. Why isn't it standard?

In the earlier link for the article at Corvette Action Center, it mentions an owner install warranty of 12,000 miles/12 months or a dealer install of 36,000 miles / 36 months. I wonder if this is just an increased warranty on the airbox itself if the dealer installs it or if this means that some kind of engine failure/damage would only be covered under the 36,000/36 month if the dealer did the install? If its just an added warranty on the airbox, I think most owners will just install themselves, as I don't think the box would fail.

Its very simple. EPA & CAFE. This is a "production" car not a race car. They have to meet emissions and fuel economy standards in order to sell the car. GM could build us 2000HP monsters if the government would allow them to.

FYI my dealer had no problem adding RVK to my 1100 status order.

News travels fast these days girl! ;)
So its down to just the rest of those Stock specs in the primary cats and 100 octane (DR's) specifically for racing!

Install looks like a bit of a pain though.
