Build quality issues already

Small details not worth the worry. In most parts of the world the idea of Corvette ownership is a pipe dream. In Brazil we can only dream about driving a nice Car around.

Someone should ask him if he is going to do the same video with his McLaren 570s. I bet when he closes the door on that the stitching on the upper forward potion of the door doesn't line up with the stitching on the dash. I'm gonna take a wild guess that it's off by about 1/4" or if he pulls on some of the interior trim pieces they are held on by velcro or two sided tape. I'd be more pissed about that on a 200k hand built car than the hood on ZR1.

I guess you guys didn’t read my post and just looked at the pics. I immediately noticed this upon a thorough inspection of the car at the National Corvette Museum during R8C Delivery in Bowling Green. They brought the PDI tech that does all ZR1 PDIs and he confirmed they are correct according to GM. He was concerned about it on previous ZR1s he had worked on and personally asked his contact at GM who said “they all go together a little different” and that a gap was normal and even a mm or two difference between them is normal.

If you really want to go nuts look at the hood gaps on a group of C7s... none are the same, very few are ye same side to side, and most vary the length of the gap. Was at the bash his weekend and 99% of the C7s have hood to fender gap variance/inconsistency. Even the new ZR1s. Annoys me, but it appears there's way more ability for movement in the fenders vs the C5/6 which can really only go on the inner fender one way.

I know this guy is easy to dislike, and some of his content is designed to be controversial to get you to click. He is a young person that loves Corvettes, plus he is modding them too. We need more of his generation driving and appreciating these cars.
He validates what we have know for years - Corvettes are great!
At least he is not playing some video game.

A good gap should not get wider or narrower and it shouldn't be twice as wide one side to the next.
The issue is lazy production and an inner fender that allows too much variance in fender positioning. With the C5 there is a ridge on the inner fender and the outer fender only goes on one way.

Bullshit... none of my 4 C5s had gap variance like these cars. All I ask for is consistent and even gaps. The C7 was supposed to be so much better with regards to fit and gaps. They marketed it as such.

Well, he and nick, guitarmageddonzl1 got invited to Ed Welborns private office. They must be doing something right. Mike got an early production manual by “someone” pulling strings and he has production number 006. So, I do watch his videos. I don’t because of the titles. I’ve watched him since he got his first corvette stingray and traded it for a hellcat. But I could tell by the way he would talk, the hellcat was not staying and he was going to get another vette. He is an enthusiast, which at heart, we all are. Click bait? Only if you let it be.

Heres a new thread I started on my warped splitter end cap/canard. Not a huge deal, but needs to be rectified by GM I think. I will update that thread on the progress.

While we're upset about stuff, can someone please talk me off a ledge on this one:
My buddy's 2018 GT3 manual is 500hp and 200lbs lighter than my 2016 Z06. It accelerates at damn near exactly the same rate. F'ing BS when i have 150hp more than him. Hate my car now. GM owes me something. Not sure what though.

This guys ego IS ASTRONOMICAL I don't know how he pays for a ZR1, a McLaren and a big ole truck. If You Tube is that lucrative hmmmmmmmmmmmmm. He seems to ALWAYS be on the make.
