Build quality issues already

Bullshit... none of my 4 C5s had gap variance like these cars. All I ask for is consistent and even gaps. The C7 was supposed to be so much better with regards to fit and gaps. They marketed it as such.
A good gap should not get wider or narrower and it shouldn't be twice as wide one side to the next.
The issue is lazy production and an inner fender that allows too much variance in fender positioning. With the C5 there is a ridge on the inner fender and the outer fender only goes on one way.

Well, he and nick, guitarmageddonzl1 got invited to Ed Welborns private office. They must be doing something right. Mike got an early production manual by “someone” pulling strings and he has production number 006. So, I do watch his videos. I don’t because of the titles. I’ve watched him since he got his first corvette stingray and traded it for a hellcat. But I could tell by the way he would talk, the hellcat was not staying and he was going to get another vette. He is an enthusiast, which at heart, we all are. Click bait? Only if you let it be.

He took the exhaust pipes off and replaced them with some after market stuff. Incredible

Not sure if his is an isolated issue (if it is in fact an actual issue) but I can confirm my centerlines are as close to perfect as I can tell. I am VERY sensitive to things like this and have yet to find any major issues with my ZR1. Pis below of my engine cover and hood vent.
Where the stanchion mounts for the ZTK wing meet the body color "little spoiler" attached to the rear deck, one of them is higher than the other. Neither are flush, but one has a mm or so more gap (super **** I know, but I did notice upon first inspection). Not a huge deal but I did ask my R8C delivery representative and he got the PDI tech over to look at it. He said "they all go together a little different" and that GM had confirmed small gaps/irregularities where the stanchions meet the body are normal. Pics below of stanchion gaps.
Bottom line: There is ZERO sloppiness on this car
Driver Side Stanchion Mount
Passenger Side Stanchion Mount (More Gap)

So these grease monkeys removed the carbon piece and re-installed it and GM gets blamed for the misalignment. Shame on you Mike!

I only care about going fast, I wouldn't care if the carbon weave doesn't line up ROFL
Function > Form.
There is a reason why you can buy the ZR1 at that price point. I really don't think people understand how much value you are getting for your money. At $150k people think its an expensive car, but its actually $300,000 in performance being sold for %50 off. It won't have an interior to compete with the Germans but what other car can you buy for $150K that will do 10's in the 1/4 mile from factory, hit 212 MPH, makes 700+HP and is a legitimate track weapon that still has a factory warranty and doesn't require 5,000 km maintenance intervals?
