on the automatic. Get 34 miles to the gallon highway with mine when driving 70 mph

NO GUZZLER ON MY DURAMAX THOUGH??

not sure what the new ZR-1 guzzler is I believe it is in the $2000.00 range for the A-8
In 2015(and 2016, 2017 and 2018) the gas guzzler tax ONLY applied to the Z06 model with the A8. I seriously doubt that a 2015 Z06 with the A8 will clip off 34 miles to the gallon highway when driving 70 MPH.

On a long road trip a fiend's 2015 Z06 with the A8 averaged 24 MPG for the entire ~3,400 mile trip and he said that very seldom did his Z06 go into V4 mode, and that the highest he saw was 25 MPG cruising on the highway. Another friend's 2015 Z51 with the A8 was clipping off 35 MPG at 74 MPH on the highway on a road trip to Deadwood.

The gas guzzler tax is calculated different than the CAFE gas mileage. 22.5 MPG combined is the trigger point for the Gas Guzzler tax and the tax gets progressively higher as the gas mileage goes lower. That's why I asked for the amount of the gas guzzle tax on the M7 and the M8.

I was hoping that some on this forum with ZR1's would take a look at their window sticker and let us know how much tax was applied to their ZR1 and whether their ZR1 was a M7 or an A8.

I thought it was a simple request, but I guess not.

I found a source(not official) that says both the M7 and the A8 has a $2,100 gas guzzler tax(vs the Z06 that only has a $1,300 gas guzzler tax on the A8).

Thanks for the input
Chev.com build your own gives $2100 GGT for either M7 or A8.

it is true about my Z06 getting 34mpg ....even a bit better at 65. Drove it to California a week after getting it putting a little 4000 miles on it during the two week road trip and that is in fact what I got. Took photos and sent them to the dealer I was so impressed.

I later added a tune, headers, new intake and a new pulley for added boost!! Thought the mpg would get even better. Was perplexed when mpg dropped to 24-25 mpg??

This is why I thought the Gas Guzzler tax was so crazy on a car that gets mid 30's mpg !!
