The anticipation is keeping me up at night

Looking forward to hearing the oil and water temps the beast runs at on a hot track day.

Can you guys explain what this exhaust cooling plate is? Is it not already there?

The plate you see is the tunnel plate which is there on all C7s to stiffen the chassis. The extra cooling bits appear to be designed to funnel more air in to the tunnel to help cool the exhaust.

I pick my car up today so I'll try to install them this evening and snap some pictures.

Two circular discs cover the front two holes on the plate... two deflectors appear to guide air up into the rear half of the tunnel.

But... but... it's RAINING! You're going to drive your car in the RAIN!? All the way from Gaithersburg?!

Won't it melt?

Congrats and enjoy.

I'm loving mine... definite differences from the Z06, even just cruising around getting my break-in miles put on.

Congrats on the car! Looking forward to seeing your vids at VIR, any chance you'll be taking it to NCM Motorsport Park at the end of July? I'd love to see what a good driver could do with this in person!

I have photographic evidence that the car didn't melt due to the rain. Amazing.

It's still.... orange..

Indeed it did not melt and I did not get in to a fiery crash driving back to the office or home. I'm going to start a new thread with initial impressions.

I'm sorry but likely the next time I get to NCM MSP will be next April.

Day 5 of ownership. Reached 500 miles today and completed the first oil change. Best 25 mile fuel economy so far is 23.7 MPG cruising at 78 MPH. At this rate I might be able to get her on track at Summit Point on June 12.

23.7 mpg is pretty good for 755hp and all that aero!
How do you compare the normal street driving compared to your Z06?

Pretty similar. I posted impressions of street driving over here: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...pressions.html

At TPC Racing today for the track alignment. We also lowered the front three turns on the adjusters.

What does your factory rear caster look like? Do you plan on installing the AMT camber and toe kit?
