Just finished watching that. Decent gains. Hopefully people can crack the ECU cause I want to see what a tune on a stock one will do.

He made 683/623 before the X Pipe. I think that’s what I heard.

Damn it, someone give me the maths stuff to figure out what 700rwhp/634rwtq equates to at flywheel.

796!

My 2015 Z06 dynoed at 571 to the wheels....this equated to a 12.15% drivetrain loss so this is the number I used to figure this out.

A little cold air intake and you're pushing 820!

I started my boycott when he molested his first zo6. I guess I just don't get it. I Would rather watch Cletus chase after goals and compete, but I guess that is just me. Or Harris or Farah or someone who can actually wheel. Matt doesn't have quite the skill set Harris does, but I care way more about what those 2 would have to say about a vehicle.

Sorry for the rant. Doesn't the zr1 make 850 at the crank with no cats and 100 octane fuel? ... I thought I remember GM saying something about that. Maybe I made it up.

Thanks! I’m not good at this, what’s the formula used? How you ended up at 796?

571 (my 2015 Z06 RWHP) divided by 650 Advertised FWHP = 0.878 and then take the ZR1 RWHP (700) and divide by 0.878 and it equals 797....I guess I should use a calculator more often, off by 1 lol, 797, not 796!

Default A 755 HP M7 uses 11%! ;)

671 rwhp!

Therefore

683 rwhp was high and 767 HP

And

700 rwhp is 787 HP total

830 HP: GM intake, catless, and 100 octane -warrantied racingLooks like!

And that's his 2nd new car in the vid? Is it a M7!? The guy has confused things! Numbers!? They're high for a M7! If someone says that was an A8 (No-way)?!

Streetspeed717 makes decent and informative videos. Lot's of uptight penny loafer wearing grumps out there these days.

No one has to watch an entire video, there is a scroll option for those who are not computer savvy.

I don't believe GM has actually officially stated this, but a forum member claimed to have heard inside info that this would be the case.

It is really not quite as simple as that and many people don't fully grasp the differences between how an engine dyno and chassis dyno procedures differ.

Chassis dynos are only good for measuring a change from one modification to the next and for tuning your car to make more power. It is not a good indication of what the engine will make when disconnected from the drivetrain. Another good measurement is real world results on a drag strip.

Here is a great article describing why you cannot just slap an arbitrary percent loss to a drivetrain because the two do not really correlate.

There's not a lot of Rocket Science here....a friend of mine ran his motor on an engine dyno and then on his Chassis Dyno....low and behold the difference was ~15% drivetrain loss, get over it! Doesn't get much more scientific than this
