Trading in my Cyber Sebring Orange ZR1 for Arctic White
Upon placing my March 1st order for my 2019 Sebring Orange ZR1 I was totally obsessed with the color. I loved it!
I've been preparing for its arrival by scoping out all sorts of orange accessories..I even bought a ZR1 jacket that had orange sleeves while anxiously waiting for that elusive build date.
But now, after weeks and weeks and more weeks of waiting for that order acceptance and obsessively looking at pictures on the web and watching Sebring Orange ZR1's on you-tube videos...
I feel like I've grown tired of it and ready for a change.
I decided to trade in the Orange and my next Cyber ZR1 is going to be Arctic White. I called my sales guy and changed my order...its official my second cyber ZR1 is going to be Arctic White!
Hopefully I'll actually get it before I decide I'm bored with that color too.

When is your ZR1 due? Were you able to make that change before they started building?

Yeah, Until the order is accepted by GM (Which mine still wasn't) You can change your order options...no problem

Early decision was SO based on what now appears to have been Photoshop enhanced pics released by GM. The color presented appears to have a slight ting of red which I really liked, looked magnetic.
After viewing SO in person, I ended up ordering Black. No question, SO is a eye popping and striking color but is too much like Sunkist Orange for my liking.
If I had ordered SO, I would not have changed my order as the color looks great on the ZR1. Just would not my first choice after seeing the color.

i agree. In the pictures the car looks amazing with a touch of red tint on it. I saw the new color on a grand sport and it was a total let down. I was very disappointed. I too will change my order to something else. I am hoping GM changes the SO to look just like the pictures.

. Why would G.M. photo enhance a color when they can just develop the shade they want at the start? If they did it's a admission that they prefer the enhanced shade to the production shade.

SO is a tint coat, so it has chameleon-esque properties. I can take a pic from the sunny side to the shadowed side of the car, just seconds apart and you'd swear it's two different colors if you didn't know any better. I'll be the first one to admit that I like the lighter color too. The orange when not in direct sunlight is very flat.

I totally understand the OP's dilemma. No knock to the Orange color or anyone who chose it, but it seems like every post on here of "My car has arrived" is another group of shots of an Orange one...

I guess the hot new color is orange, was going to change the colors of our coupe and convertible, but never had an orange colored car before, and then seeing it in person, we are keeping orange, well for as long as we keep our cars.

I have never been a fan of orange but taking delivery of it, it's better than I thought. The colour really pops in the sun and with the ztk and carbon bits, it's a great contrast.

I love the look of SO in photos so I drove down to a local league volume dealer to see the color in person and was tremendously let down. It absolutely changes colors in different lighting but it goes from beautiful to ugly where as some colors that change go from beautiful to just slightly less beautiful.
