ZR1 Interior Pic Requests
Hello guys. My ZR1 order is still at 1100 status, and I am pondering interior options since I can still change my order before it gets picked up for 2000 status.
At the moment the order is Long Beach Red with 3ZR Kalahari interior, ZTK, blue calipers, and graphite wheels. IF my order is not picked up before Shadow Gray becomes available I will probably change the exterior color, possibly the interior, but keep the rest the same.
This brings me to the issue: GM's web pictures suck. And Google doesn't know how to search properly for things like this. So I would appreciate your help to compile a pic list in this thread of ZR1 (preferably not other C7s, for consistancy) interiors. Owner pics are prefered, undoctored or pshopped. With your pic please list your ZR1's exterior color, interior trim level (3ZR prefered), interior color, and any other options like color stitching. I hope this can become a resource for others too.

Hi. Good luck with your order. Might I make a suggestion on color? Any greys (ceramic, watkins or shadow ) will look great with the blue calipers. Now that ZR1 's come with color options for the calipers, red would look cool with black, red or silver calipers. Something to consider. I know you wanted pics, try YouTube for close up reviews of the interior (3LZ). I have ceramic grey w/ black interior with blue accent stitching.

- Prove it. Please!
-Apparently NO ZR1s get color stitching on the headliner. That is only for the Carbon 65 C7s. Doesn't make sense to me, but it's been confirmed by people with orange and red contrast stitching ZR1s.

Some Kalahari pics from other members...

The kalahari does look good with the grey. Would look awesome in a ZR1. If you can, go to the "Build Your own " section on the Chevy site, and look up a ZR1 with grey exterior and the grey interior w/ the blue calipers. Awesome.

My 1100 order is Shadow Gray/Kalahari. I had been considering going Shadow Gray with the black/blue-stitch interior. It would look great too, but I like the warmth of the Kalahari. Long Beach Red is my stand-by color in case Shadow Gray gets constrained.

Not sure how many people saw my last post, but upon reflection I realized that the GM website pics did not properly represent the colors, specifically how LB Red hue shift between direct light and shadow. So I fixed that, using multiple online references and photos I took in person.
Then I revised the Shadow Gray, based on the official samples released earlier at The Bash. The revised Shadow Gray is bluer and more saturated than the previous version. And while the color changes a lot depending on the light I think this version is reasonably close.
Then I realized (and this does not inspire me to buy GM stock!) that they didn't even bother to make the body panels shown on the interior pics colored! How the hell this slipped by, or how they thought this was a cost worth cutting, is beyond me. How could anyone pick a good color combination when they can't see the colors next to each other as they would appear on the car?!? Anyway, I fixed that too.
I also had forgotten the blue shift paddle in the other black/blue interior pic, so I added that. Again, the blue shift paddles are not a requisite mod for the black interior. I just wanted to see what they would look like if they were consistent with the red and yellow contrast-stitched interiors.
I also added a slight warm tone to the wheels to represent Satin Graphite wheels better.
And I dulled the visibility of the Kalahari passenger seat through the front windshield. It was too strong before.
I also added black separator lines between the illustrations so each can be seen separated with more accuracy.
All-in-all I think this is the closest I can get to decent illustrations of these four color combinations. I wish GM cared as much about a car they designed as I do about a car I don't own yet.

You put a lot of time in this, but only your eyes will help you to your goal. You should find a dealer with a large inventory and look. Stingrays and GSs have the same interior choices as Z06s and ZR1s.
