That's it? What catback is on it now? Cats or not cats? What are you going to do given the car can't be tuned yet?

Ben, nice wheel choice. Whom is the Manufacturer and what model/finish did you go with?

There are long technical threads explaining why the aftermarket can't tune it without GM's encryption keys. Whole new ballgame now that they're developing platforms to accommodate autonomy one day.

often the blower cars are tuned pretty rich to protect the cats.

a set of headers might make that just about right without tuning.

Smog certification.
Bolt-on exhaust shouldn't affect the warranty other than having to put it back if the engine is otherwise involved.
Worst case you'll have to flip to the stock air box if your not running 100 octane (because its out of calibration), I think.
Sounds great!

I'm not so sure about that. If you look into how the ECU is coded, it's very complex.

This airbox has nothing to do with a 100 tune.

They program x amount of flow for use with 100 octane fuel, which, can be verified.
Their air box only allows their desired max amount with all possible exhaust upgrades....They've stayed away from turbos, I've always thought, because of the ease of their power bumps, and manipulations.

They're Forgeline VX1Rs in black chrome, I'm demo-ing them on the car but they're for sale I have another set on the way now too as well as my GS1R 18s just came in today

These VX1Rs will fit the Z06 as well as the ZR1! Let me know if you're interested in them.

The AFRs are still pig rich, no worry LOL

I'm trying to slide it on the dyno for a quick pull this afternoon to see the gains.

Does it have a check engine light?

Headers on no tune has been an understood "no-no" for the LSA, LS9, and LT4 for a while now. Curious as to why the LT5 would be any different.

And don't say that they're safe on the LT4/LSA/LS9 too because that's BS.

I was just paralleling that GM rumor, and the 100 octane was just part and participle of opening up the exhaust and their air box. No tune. That's something new to me and I'm guessing how it could go.

We ran 12.5 AFR's in our race gas Supra years ago. It's true we could have kept it richer.

Did they actually ever release the 100 octane tune for the Z06? Always heard rumors but never followed up.

GM has been advertising the Camaro SS and ZL1 drag packages for awhile and the SS has been released, but despite running 10.0s with the ZL1 with minor mods and PCM/TCM/eLSD/MRC tuning, I was able to talk to someone there about it and they have not been able to get it into user hands due to internal conflicts. My compound boost 2017 ZL1 is putting down 1100whp/tq by 4000 RPMs, but I would like to get access to the latter of the modules.

So, what I'm trying to say is all of you holding out for this 100 octane tune... unless something changes, I am guessing the rumors are true that it has been tested, but I do not see it being released to the public anytime soon based on a car less than half the price and a lot higher production not being able to get it out the door. I hope I'm wrong, but again with the level of encryption, I would be shocked.

It would be very easy to do based upon the modular blower snout vs. pulling the blower to swap on an LT4 though! We "might" have just changed my pulley today and we might have set another new record on stock boost AND modified boost... maybe

Lol, ignore John Glenn. It's either a bot or a bonafide retarded person. He interjects BS that is 100% off topic all the time and comes up with stuff from left field. I'm pretty sure it's a bot at this point though.
