Default ZR1 X-pipe RESULTS! GM Intake Installed!

Updates are in from HPA...

- Corsa Xpipe
- GM Performance Intake

The ZR1 is beyond the preliminary stage and is showing what it does with minor changes. Nothing else installed or touched. Purely the ZR1 doing what it can do.

Take a look, it is impressive!

Wow, absolutely phenomenal results!!! Maybe Tadge did us a favor by creating the ultimate ECM and encrypted it because it is a self-learning/self tuning one that doesn't need to be hacked!!!

Does the Corsa X-Pipe that fits on the ZR1 also fit on the Z06? If so, I can hold on to the one I have now on my Z06 it and apply it to the ZR1 next year.

Hell and while Im at it, will the Corsa Extremes fit also? Thanks guys!

The X-pipe can be installed on the ZR1 and/or Z06. Straight forward application.

PM us if you need one.

How is the Borla X-pipe performance in comparison to the Corsa double helix?

If you do a search someone posted a video last week comparing the Corsa and Borla X pipes. I expected the Corsa to make better numbers being it had a double X and is 3" to the Borla 2.75" . Turns out the Borla made 27whp to the Corsa 17whp. If i find the thread i put in a link. They did say the Corsa sounded better.

Does it require you to cut anything or plug and play?

On a Z06 with the stock exhaust, the Borla typically outperformers the Corsa.

Some have stated that the Corsa actually lost power compared to stock catted X-pipe and went slower in the 1/4 mile also.

I think the Corsa might work better if installed with a 3" axle back system also.

That makes sense considering the OEM pipes go from 2.75" to 3.0" on the Corsa X-pipe, and then back down to 2.75" for the OEM axle-back. I'm not an engineer, however I would think that the straight through 2.75" pipes on the Borla would create less turbulence.

With a 3.0" axle back, I think that would improve results for Corsa. I've run a Corsa x-pipe and axle back system on my C5 and it sounds great, however I'm reading the Borla may be the best fit for the C7 based on reviews.

However the results of the GM CAI and the Corsa X-pipe combo is impressive. Plus, I really like the Jake Skull window on the CAI.

Good reasoning to why a smaller diameter product may perform better in comparison of a direct swap Z06, nothing else. Arguments can go on and on about each...

With tuning, our results on the dyno and at the track have shown the Corsa to be a quality piece, as it is the majority choice for vehicles here. However, we use both products and commend them. Objective results are always great, but we'd say it depends on the mod plans with the vehicle and some subjectivity to appearance and cost. Let us know if either are needed.

The ZR1 is a nice machine! Very capable, and constrained well considering what potential is within based on everything we've done so far. Perhaps a direct comparison will be done with each on the ZR1 since tuning is not happening right now.

We will continue updating!

I have a 2017 Callaway 757. Should I expect similar HP results with the X pipe considering its 2.3 liter SC?
