Probably nothing but would make for good conversation. It beats the multiple Ring threads that also have guesses that don't accomplish anything either. Its more probable that we might see a time for these tracks first.

We haven't seen a VIR Full time yet and as far as I'm concerned that's the one that counts since it's what 90% of the events there run. I already posted a prediction in this thread.

GM Powertrain had 4 Corvettes and 5 new generation Camaro's up at Laguna Seca today. Two of them were ZR1's. One red high wing and one white low wing. All with Michigan plates and test drivers. I believe they were testing new powertrains in a few of them. Some of them were testing mules and the ZR1's looked production. They could be testing the new generation 6.2 replacement for the LT1 which will be the base engine in the ME. I talked to the guy in charge and he was a Powertrain engineer. Also got a email from one of my Motor Trend contacts yesterday. There will be a ZR1, GT2RS, Ford GT, Performante, type of test shortly. I am attending it under the standard don't speak, don't tell rules. But I will be reporting on it as soon as it happens.

Nevermind, didn’t know there was that many variations of the track. I assume the 1:57:03 the viper has is the one you are referring to?

I'm not sure what list you're looking at but possibly. I managed a 1:57.5 in my Z06, if I'm only .5 off a record I should've tried harder .

It's about damn time. Laguna Seca makes the best benchmark to compare vehicle times, especially if Randy is driving.
Apparently the GT2RS and even the Lambo were on special custom made tires for their Ring runs. I'm guessing the run at Laguna Seca will be on the production tires you get when you buy the car at the dealer. I think the ZR1 has a great shot at beating all their times.

I asked him if a Ferrari Pista and McLaren 720S would also be there but he wouldn't tell who was coming to the test. If they can get a GT2RS that will be the important one as that has the ring record.

Great effort Keagan. My only suggestion is to add year/model and date of recorded time.
Also not sure "unknown" should make the list but then again it's all for "fun"
Kudos!

thankd but that’s not my list. I copied it from fastestlaps.com just so we could guess where the ZR1 would rank on those tracks above.

Thanks! Getting into the low 1:20s around Big Willow is hauling. It bills itself as "The Fastest Track in the West," and for good reason. The ZR1 should see maybe even 170 down the front straight and 150 through the sweeping Turns 8 and 9. I would suspect that this car on slicks, in the hands of a good racer, will easily get down in that range. I can't wait to see one!
