Dude's a genius though...like lot of other channels that are being followed by "children" as one poster here so astutely puts it....he probably makes so much money from youtube to basically subsidize his car hobby. You can probably write off the ZR1/570S costs as a business tax deduction for his little youtube hustle.

Surprised his current ZR1 was only titled to the dealer....I pray that whomever buys it knows how rough its life was being driven by a young youtuber.

These kinds of people are not really car enthusiasts in my eyes...they are adrenaline enthusiasts who happen to find a medium to make money and get attention with cars. Not surprised if he dumps the ZR1 in 1-2 years to get the newest bestest car out at that time....

Currently about $35-38k per month. I would call that a profession, not a car hobby subsidy.

Has anyone else in the YouTube community ever backed that up? Because that sounds really high. I watch a couple other YouTube series with similar subscriber counts. Either they're putting on a really good show of being broke, or they don't make nearly as much money. They provide actual technical content and builds.

Maybe it's spot on. I don't know. It just seems to me like bragging about a ridiculous payday is just another way to generate clickbait-y controversy, which unfortunately translates into 'views, likes and subscribes'.

Its been verified in videos showing screenshots of his YouTube analytics page. He doesn't do it in a bragging way.

There are a lot more factors than just subscriber count. You could have more subscribers but if you do 1 video per week somebody less subscribers but makes a video every day could make more. StreetSpeed717 makes a video almost every day. The length of your video, type of ads you select as well as watch time also affect revenue.

The shows I watch (mainly B is for Build and Tavarish) have close to daily content. But I guess this guy figured out the magic formula.

Look at ChrisFix. He has 3MM subs and only puts out a video once or twice a month. I got into an exchange with him once, telling him he's leaving a lot of money on the table, and this opportunity wouldn't last forever. Seize the day blah blah. At the end of our discussion, he says, it's not about the money.

I did some figuring awhile back on SS717 and my best analytical guess was between 2200 and 2800 per episode. He uploads daily. I'm sure Jason knows more about than myself, but he's approaching seven figures a year. Good for him.

Data analytics can be found for any YouTuber at soclalblade.com

He is making the cash.

I assumed his first ZR1 was a dealer demo (based on the plate and lack of signing documents). He's got some kind of relationship with them.

Typical **** show here on the forum,
good for the kid who makes tons of money doing what he likes, why are u butt hurt ?? If u are smart enough go do the same,
most of u here are dreamers or old fossils and you can’t comprehend something like that, it’s his job to play with cars, post them on YouTube and make money.

I read that and quickly put down about 1/2 teaspoon of salt which makes total BS slide down easier!

That's not true, in fact it's not even close. I know someone who does this in a different segment and he showed me how it works and stuff. With the amount of views he gets he makes good money but not 35k a month. To make really good money you have to have millions of subscribers which leads to 10s of millions of views. Now there is no doubt that he making some cash doing it and so do the others. Most of these guys are exotic car enthusiasts, which is a very limited audience. Look at some of the people who do tech, toy, video game, political reviews, those guys and girls and making massive cash. But he is doing something that allows him to make his own schedule, do what he loves, and make a good living off it which hats off to him. The one thing about this is as long as YouTube doesn't keep lowering the fees they keep paying out he can only make more as he get's more views and subscribers.

As long as he makes videos at a steady rate that get the same number of views (which he does), estimated and actual will be very close.

No there, not. But I'm not going to argue with you over it, believe what you want or go start your own channel and see.

Here is our channel with over 23k subscribers: https://www.youtube.com/user/KatechPerformance

Estimated and actual have been very close in my experience.

SS717 is a genius, I only wish for people to be happy and do what they love to do and get paid doing it. Admittedly most of the videos are not that interesting and I don't watch every single one...but..The dude makes bank using a $300 go pro.. a lot of people hate cause they are jealous, or they think he is way too click-bate.. I live a good life and enjoy watching others succeed as well. If you can't say the same.... he knows exactly what he's doing, he is printing his own money. don't hate the play'a hate the game!
