Perfect conditions for the test right now. Cool morning air and perfect track temp mid morning.
I know that you can’t comment on this, but it definitely sounds like a Best Driver’s Car competition. That, whatever it is, will be the greatest comparison of modern automobiles to date.

Think plus 2 seconds faster than cup2's

What we are seeing here folks, is that the ZR1 is one of the finest performance cars of the last 30+ years!

The BDC is July 10th,11th, and 12th. The test day I'm talking about is this Thursday June 14th.

There likely isn't a tire made that can withstand a RWD heavier car on The Ring sub7!

Faster than a 720S....wow....this is serious if true. That 720 may not have the downforce, but its aero efficiency is huge and Willow is a fast track. ZR1 seems to be layin it down.

Here is a specs sheet I found from some digging from fastestlaps:
http://fastestlaps.com/articles/aklzjvhjiagu#116811

[2019 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1] Motor Trend 6/2018 test results (to be published on "Track Monsters" page in 7/2018 issue) (8-spd. auto.):
0-30 mph = 1.3 s
0-40 mph = 1.8 s
0-50 mph = 2.3 s
0-60 mph = 2.8 s
0-70 mph = 3.4 s
0-80 mph = 4.1 s
0-90 mph = 4.9 s
0-100 mph = 5.8 s
1/4-mile = 10.7 s / 132.3 mph
Figure-8 = 22.0 s / 1.15 g
Willow Springs = 80.99 s

car got both the fastest laps in Willow AND figure-8, its a track monster for sure

Why the low 1/4 mile time? Even lower than the manufacturer claim but on 0-60 time same as claimed. Also another magazine that got 10.5/135 mph did 0-100 in 6.6 seconds. These guys did that almost a second quicker but much slower 1/4 mile time?

also the earlier screenshot had 1:20:6 for willow time this is more like 1:21. Still great but less than a second apart from viper. Not that much of a leap (considering viper was 2 years ago?)

Holy smokes. Have you ever driven that track? It's easy to lob grenades from the cheap seats. I did a 1:27 in a purpose-built race car on slicks and I thought I was gonna die. 1:20, 1:21. That's blistering fast in a street legal car, with street tires. He probably went 170-175 down the front straight and 150 through the sweeping turns 8 and 9. Give both the guy and the car the props they deserve.

Yep...at this level every increment of improvement takes a lot of work (from the car and driver)

100 degrees for instance is too 🔥 period. Oxygen molecules are what burns and there is less of them!

Default The Ring has that final 190mph 25s straight! ;)

A wide gaping chunked out section wouldn't be real conducive to getting that done real well, I'm guessing!

Really? My friend had very poor results from the Goodyear’s on his ZL1-1LE... wore them out so fast on track that he switched to Cup 2’s instead.

Awesome if true! But im a bit skeptical until its officially publisbed by MT because

a) how would these details first be available on fastestlaps?
b) 0-60, 0-100 etc seem relatively faster than the 1/4 mile figure would imply (unless the 0 to figures were on a different day or different driver?)

Anyone can post times up to fastestlaps, so yeah I would wait for some more official numbers.
