Finally broke my Z06 PB and in to the 1:14's. This was a 1:14.9 but the data shows a theoretical 1:14.6 between the two fast laps that outing. I was overdriving the car a bit that outing so it's not the smoothest driving.

Would be interesting to see what the difference with 100 octane makes, if any. I see the Owner's Manual says 100 octane is recommended.
LT5 Engine : 93 octane (or higher)
unleaded gasoline is required.
100 octane (or higher) unleaded
gasoline is recommended to
maximize powertrain performance
and improve longevity of
components within the powertrain

And 100 octane at the pumps at Summit was about $8-9/gallon, last I remember. Ouch!

It wasn't really hot enough to matter; the 100 octane isn't going to suddenly give you more "go juice". It's just going to delay the onset of timing being pulled. But it's cool enough now (low 80s*) that it wouldn't matter enough.

I decided to go for an endurance run to see how long it take for a tank of gas. I ended up coming in at 30 minutes and the fuel gauge was still showing about half a tank. However, as I came down pit lane and by the time I made it to the fuel pumps it was sitting on empty. Don't trust the fuel gauge on long track stints.
My Z06 was pretty consistent at 11 gallons in 30 minutes. The ZR1 consumed 16.7 gallons in the same period of time. This was running largely 1:16-1:17 laps which are a couple seconds off my best but were something I could maintain.

On the full fuel load run the trans fluid temp reached 307F but that was the only time I saw it that high. Usually it ran in the 270-280 range.
I'm pretty beat so a quick update on a couple of other things before I forget.
First, the no lift shift works much better in the ZR1. There's none of that jerky throttle cut out like there was in the Z06. It's just smooth.
Second, the understeer I complained about yesterday was largely gone today. I'm not sure exactly why but the track conditions were different.

Sean... I didn’t lower my front suspension (as you did) but ran last week with maximum rear wing AoA. I did not get the sense that mine was understeering but I’m not as perceptive as I suspect you are. So I’m wondering whether to adjust the wing to one setting less or to leave it as is. With my front suspension a bit higher than yours my rear wing is a bit less angled, if I adjust it do you think I’ll be taking too much downforce off the back end and get an oversteer condition? I’d rather have understeer than oversteer.

After looking at your temperature data strip, the Intake Air Temp is only running a few degrees warmer then the Outside Air Temp.
Is the Intake Air Temp coming from the MAF sensor?
How does this spread compare to the Z06?
Thanks for the data.

Nicely done, Sean. Always good to have your data and knowledge shared with the forum.
