Default Couple of pics from Motor Trend Mountain Video shoot!

I was in LA on Business earlier this week, when a buddy let me know that 2 ZR1s with a camera crew were spotted in my home town, which just so happens to be at the top of a mountain with VERY cool canyons roads leading up to it!!

It was mid aftewrnoon by the time I headed back up the hill, but took a chance they were still out and went up the route they were reportedly on...

Sure enough, with PDR rolling, I came up on the group about half way up the hill. Let's just say the CHPs who were hired to escort the ZR1s were not that happy with the sound of my FULL Billy Boat exhaust under hard down shifting as I spin around to check things out.

They had a few choice words, but then Jonny Lieberman came over and told them that is was just the factory "REV Match" making the noise. Jonny was also VERY cool when I asked if it was OK to take a few pics...

Interesting that they look to have the wing angle at the steep position.

It's called the tail slamming one of those bigger trees phenomenon, not really amongst a track guys typical concerns. IE The extraordinary measures in a fast Pikes Peak setup. Add the cliffs!

Let's just say that the section of road they closed off has some pretty radical turns and elevation changes, uploading some video now...

What kind of tires are those on the purple Z06? Sure aren't PSS or PSSC's. Anyone familiar with that tread pattern?

That is an epic section of that road. Hiked north from there into that creek area last year for Father's Day. Really wish I had gone back there this past weekend Would've been a nice surprise to see some wild animals

It was Motor trend, and yes they are the new Toyo R888Rs, really handle well in the canyons!

Great vid! Love the sound especially!
A couple questions...
1) What road(s) is this? (I'm also in CA)
2) Would you upload this vid to youtube so I can rip it? Would like to keep it on file (without buffering) for when I need cheering up.
