I've learned (especially in the later months) that the color representation on the Chevy site is definitely suspect. I remember GM did a website update on the build config back in March, maybe April of 2017, and it hasn't been consistent since. Unfortunately, since Shadow is not available to the public yet, it's pretty much all we have to go on unless you saw it at The Bash. I'm sure there are some pics of the color in comparison, but I would say that WGG does come off darker. There's at least a distinguishable difference. Especially compared to the upcoming release of Elkhart Blue vs its blue brethren.

For those interested I did some pshop work prior to GM finally updating it's BYO website with Shadow Gray. Time will tell if mine or theirs is more accurate. I do know their other color illustrations are ****-poor compared to the real colors. I used the published pics of the Shadow Gray pucks next to WGG ones at The Bash.

New two tone ... Elkhart Lake Blue and WGG
I believe the pic you posted was Wat Gln Gry... It was the secondary color to Sebring Orange on the original reveal. I took delivery of my WGG ZTK manual last week and am very happy with the color and performance of the car in general. Im in the process of arranging Xpel treatment so its not being driven presently. Masked it off with Scotch blue tape for the drive home. Ist oil chsnge at 500 mi on way home from Rick Conti. The lower photos directly above do include a Shadow Gray.. it has a distinct bluish cast in it.

Im sure Shadow Gray would look great in the same light... pics were taken right a sunrise just before her maiden voyage to Road America..(parade lap there...haha).. I did hear that some WGG orders that were accepted were later recinded. I don’t know what the deadline was but I know my car was one of the last ZR1’s painted WGG and my order was sent in by the dealer last Dec.. the car was bypassed as his first allocation because it was a manual. It was his 2nd of 10 allocatons he received for 19.. he’s offered to buy allocations from other dealers....he was upset for only getting that few because he had sold many more GS’s than Z06’s during the Oct17 -Oct18 period Gm used to determain the ZR1 allocation. He (Rick Conti) had sold a ton of C6 ZR1’s and C7 Z06’s, just not during that Oct/Oct window. GM didnt disclose in advance to dealers what criteria for ZR1 allocations would used I was told.

Shadow Gray might end up being a killer color on the C7. I just want to see it on the full car in various light conditions.

Meanwhile, production of the Shadow Gray is less than a month away, so we're going to get full looks in vehicular form by around the end of August. I'll reserve judgment until then, but I will say that among the C7 dark gray line (Shark, Cyber, Watkins, Shadow), they got it right with WGG. That Cyber Gray was cool too.

From what I'm seeing, Shadow Gray looks closer to 2014 Cyber Gray than Watkins Glen Gray but with even more blue than Cyber. Watkins had a lot more silver.
Here you go, 2014 Cyber Gray:

Funny you should mention that part about rescinded orders: I sent my C7 Grand Sport in for a minor chip fix that my Xpel didn't catch (Watkins Glen Gray of course), and the owner mentioned a similar incident with another discontinued color from the C7 line. He said that the guy ordered back in February or March specifically for a Z06 Admiral Blue Corvette. And at the time, I don't think any of us knew that Admiral Blue and WGG would be on the chopping block when the order was placed. I guess the buyer was (rightfully) concerned because it was taking longer than other builds, and eventually found out that his car was going to be built under the new blue, but wouldn't be done for a few more months. He ended up getting the Corvette Racing Yellow instead. How he changed his mind from blue to yellow is beyond me...it also confuses me that the order (if the story is true) was made well before the ordering deadline for Admiral Blue. I just found it interesting.
