I looked at the piece Chevrolet uses for the low wing. Unfortunately it would not work with the high wing’s adjustable lower mount point.

This would only be for street and freeway speeds.

Asking for a friend.
Looks like the bigger high wing will hit the car if you use the smaller low wing brackets.
Then the little wing would look funny mounted high.

My request is for a custom bracket that will lower the high wing to a safe height above the body. The request is NOT to reproduce the low wing bracket and attach it to the high wing.

Default Point of references

it has been reported that the low wing was used to establish the top speed. The high wing is for track use.

As a point of reference.
the short wing was used during top speed runs; less drag.
the tall wing is used for racing.

Woowie . . . can't wait . . . when can I order? thanks, Cliff

For reference, this the 3/8" drive 'bit' that fits the security screws on the wing bracket.
I really believe that chev should supply the tool as it is a controlled part by snap on, and expensive to the end user. this bit is 5 lobe instead of the 'standard' 6 lobe in everyones tool kit

It's a 5 lobe security bit. You can get them just about anywhere.

it's $6 on Amazon. GM doesn't supply me with a 19mm deep set to change my wheels either.

While I understand what you're saying, this is not a common tool either. On my way to the track the first time, I went to a half dozen places and not a single one of them had any 5 point safety bits, only 2 had 6 point. Lug nuts aren't adjustable, the wing is. IMO it should've been included in the ZTK package too.

I couldn't agree more . . . the dealer I bought from did not have the correct tool and buggered up the screws . . . has offered to replace . . . . but his parts department says they are hard to get. As I mentioned above Snap-on has a 3/8" socket with the correct bit for a mere $36, I also ordered from Century Tool . . . they list it . . .it's on indeterminate back order for $10.54 delivered someday.

Maybe our friend above can mention a specific source for the bit . . ..

Good luck,Cliff

Coming along nicely! We 3D printed the parts today, will test fit tomorrow, and then CAM the VF6 for production! Guys can switch from high to low wing in minutes.

How about a higher than stock mount also? Now that would be sick!

Looking good! Can you post pics when you test fit on your ZR1?

Default Well, count me in for the street!

I have to say that when you guys first wanted this, I figured we could knock it out quickly and easily, so I'd oblige but didn't expect to like it as I have always liked the high wing. I do have to say though, that for daily driving, it really makes the car look sleeker and more natural!

We went ahead and added the adjustability to them since printing, despite probably not needing it being that low. So, you will be able to raise the back in the same manner as OEM. I've given the green light to program it and we can start machining soon. From there, they'll be anodized black most likely, and ready to ship out. I will open up a group buy presale next week. I need to review the pricing, but it reuses all of the OEM hardware and I will include the 5 point T30 safety bit for you guys

Here are our 3D printed ZTK Low Stands!

Default Terrific job … sold

Any chance you’re going to do any speed testing to see if all the rotten tales of instability are going to come true and if so if it’s only over 200 it’s OK with me. Please PM me when you do the group by I’d like to be first second third fourth or somewhere in there is just let me know thanks for your effort Thanks
