Not sure, I would like to know as well... but what I am sure of is that my ZR1 I ordered in January will be the last one to roll off the 2019 production line...

I think my order from February is competing with yours to be the last off the production line. Patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue, . . . .

Mine was ordered in June so it looks like mine will be next year.

Ouch... the wait is hard but you’ll get it.

I’m hearing rumours that it may be a 1 year production vehicle...
...After a year-and-a-half wait with a Toronto dealer (deposit and sales contract in place), I believe the dealer gave my allocation away to a higher bidder.
I reached out to other Can dealers seeking an allocation but had no luck (knew I was searching for a non-existent ‘needle in a haystack’).
My search yielded the latest grapevine rumour that started with a GM Canada source: ZR1 orders for Canadian distribution are closed/will be shortly; ZR1 distribution for the US will go to the end of the calendar year; C7 ZR1 will be a 2019 model year production only...hmmm?

Not sure if the rumour is at all accurate, but if it is, your wait will be well worth it on multiple fronts!!!

It would be nice if that was the case, but I'm not holding my breath.

ZR1 will be produced through 2024 along with the C7 alongside the C8 or Zora whatever it ends up being called.

been discussed endlessly over the last couple of years.

My bet is the Z06 and ZR1 variants of the C8/Zora will be out by MY 2021 2022 and be so over the top anyone who can afford one will flock to them like the second coming. Doubt it will affect C7 pricing as they are cheap for what they provide and many if us like the cargo room for trips.

so interesting the upcoming events will be. I'm sure we'll love the look/performance of the ME car just dont know if it will be as lovable to own and travel in.

A 1-year run for the C7 ZR1 would be great financially, and yes an appreciating investment is always a win. However, the fact of the matter would be that my car would then be sold or stored for investment... and that is not why I want this car. I want to drive the snot out of it, have fun with it, and outrun as many people as I can line up next to (in the spirit of friendly American competition.)

Zr1 production ramped up in the first weeks of March, so it is 5 months ongoing as of now. According to the ZR1 Registry, s/n 850 was produced Wednesday, August 8. Five months from now, mid-January,at the current pace, they will have produced around 1700 units.Original production was supposed to be around 2,000 units.
GM cannot advance the model year designation until the February prior to the next calendar year by Federal law. So although it is possible that GM could designate February 2019 ZR1 production as a 2020 model it is unlikely if the rest of production is designated a 2019 model. Therefore GM could continue to produce 2019 ZR1's as long as there is customer demand.until the model year 2019 production ends in the summer of 2019.
The 2,000 unit production estimate could fall to the needs of maximizing production of a very profitable model for dealers and GM.

I ordered mine in July for est. delivery of late Oct. early Nov. I Firmly believe that I got the last allocation in my area. What I was told 3 months before I ordered from the salesman who I also bought my 18 ZO6 from told me he had 5 allocations total 2 left I got him to hold the last one he said was in the area. That being said I do believe, all the orders will be built the Stingray,Grand sport and Zo6 sales are slower then they build for, GM will get that money. They will build all 2000 plus by the new model year, so my salesman tells me.

Its been confirmed by GM personnel that 2019 production will continue through the end of March 2019. Roughly 13 months total for 2019MY. Still speculation on how long the ZR1, or the C7 platform for that matter, will continue. Can’t imagine the C7 ZR1 will be a one model year car however that would be pretty awesome haha.
