Default ZR1 feels like it has no power at full throttle at speeds over 40 MPH

If I floor the car the speed seems to pick up gradually unless I manually downshift and launch the car with the paddles. The power feels great at lower speeds but anything over around 40-50mph the car just doesn't pack a punch in auto mode. Is this normal?

Make sure sure you're not in 4WD

Right now this thing feels like a baby's toy and I'm ready to see some serious ****.

Please advise.

Don't use both pedals at the same time. Only use the right pedal. Also, shoulda got the M7. Also, I'm guessing you got the black wheels, that's definitely going to slow **** down.

Do you actually have one?
On 6/8, you said that you were placing an order with a dealer who was waiting for an allocation. Things must have happened unusually fast.

^^^^^^ I was wondering the same. ^^^^^^

I don't have a ZR1 but I have a Z06 and when I punch my Z (auto mode), it goes. It does not matter the speed. If I am driving it in manual mode, I have to downshift first.

I was questioning the process of how an allocation order works back in June. I never said I placed an order. Decided I didn't want to wait 5-6 months and I got one from a dealer who had it on the lot.

I had a Z06 as well, and the power in that car was great at full throttle. ZR1 is completely different, which is why I came to hopefully get some information on if something is wrong with the car or if this is just how the car drives.

Post a video and maybe someone can give you a wild guess on what might be be wrong, and have an answer about what makes your ZR1 so sluggish.

I can't assert how a ZR1 drives as I do not own one, but I would be very doubtful that is any different from a Z06 as far as punching power. (ZR1 having more of course).

I would love to see a picture of your ZR1.

Maybe...TC kicking in and keeping you from becoming the next youtube corvette crash sensation? Turn off TC, turn on your camera and give it another try... don't crash though.

Either you are doing something wrong or the car is broken. Mine feels like I should be wearing a G suit under WOT

Maybe get it on a dyno then you should be able to see the power band at a given RPM.

sounds like an issue that needs to be resolved at the dealer under warranty. Otherwise the problem might be your a troll. But I was accused of being a troll claiming my c7z was a dog on the c7z06 forum. It turned out to be the intercooler on my z was only about half full from the factory and the pump was cavitating pulling power and the 650 hp z06 felt slower then my 375hp c4zr1.
