200 lbs is a lot of weight to compensate for in an acceleration contest.

200lbs car difference, the ZR1 driver looked a bit heavier as well, AND it was the ZTK vs. low aero setting for the FGT. Curious to see how the low wing ZR1 woulda done. Sure, those 'lite' ZR1 mods made up for some of the difference, but not all of it...the drag on the ZTK is not helping over 80mph.
Nonetheless, they look pretty darn close....not bad for $140k vs $500-$600k and mid-engine. Congrats GM. That FGT is still pretty damn cool though ;-)

The FGT! Has no chance against some Z06's!

200 lbs is a lot of weight? Did you guys skip basic algebra in school? ZR1 has way more power than GT in terms of power to weight. ZR1 needs only 685 hp but it has 755 stock and this driver with his second cat delete and custom X pipe easily picked up another 20-25hp which means ZR1 has 100hp on FGT if they had equal weight.
There is no “this” or “that” excuse on this one. FGT is just a better car, period. Be it its DCT, better aero, better putting power down (still a ton of power for RWD, but doesnt spin rear wheels corvette style), better chassis, better engine response, better power curve. Its not all about numbers. Sometimes you just shouldnt come up with excuses and digest the loss like a grown up and move on.

Don't use the flimsy excuse about cost. The Mustang is even over priced. The biggest group of owners are high school kids. The Mustang look is so worn out! I don't know a single person who still looks at them.
The Corvette are plain faster and better. Plus a way better bang for the buck! Ford forgot about quality Job #1 a long time ago.
Funny how MUSTANG owners use others car to compare. Because theirs is absolute laugh and not even a sports car! Carry on with the satire.

Oh this post is definitely going on the highlight reel. This guy is hilarious! Hey Mods, how much longer until the trolling is taken seriously and this guy is kicked? I have never seen a quality post from this account, one that adds value, or provides information to someone asking for it. Nothing but ZR1 and Corvette bashing from him and nothing substantial. Absolute drain on the forum.

Over almost 20,000 posts Im pretty sure 3 Z06ZR1 has provided A LOT more value to the forum by way of knoweldge, advice, etc. UE provides ZERO. Take a quick peek at UE's thanked posted LMAO. They are mostly Corvette and ZR1 bashing comments... Nice try, but your logic here is flawed
