We picked up our ZR1 in NCM on Monday, August 13th and it was a great experience. While we were at the NCM, we met a guy named Frank from FL who was also picking up his Orange ZR1 ZTK. From there we headed to the Tail of the Dragon. Frank did the same in his ZR1 as well. We spent 4 days driving on many of the winding roads around the area. We stayed at the Tapoca Lodge at the end of the Tail of the Dragon. We highly recommend this place because it is a scenic place in the mountains along a stream. This lodge caters to cars and motorcycle enthusiasts. They have a locked gate at night along with some undercover parking and a car wash station.Additionally, they have a relaxed bar/restaurant along the river. From this location, there are many good drives close by. On day three, we drove over to Murphy NC. to Jacky Jones Chevy for our 500-mile oil change. It is a great dealership, and I highly recommended them. Everywhere we went, people wanted to look and take pictures of the car. From there we drove north up into the Smoky Mountains and then back around to the Tail of the dragon. Finally, we headed south to home in South FL. The car is just awesome in every way. It is very comfortable to ride in, especially on our long (14 hours) drive home and has just crazy endless power!! Attached are a few pictures from our trip:

Yes, congrats.
And what a fantastic way to break in your car!
Full of envy...
...Been driving through the Canadian Rockies and dreaming of doing the same thing with a ZR1 some day.

Loved the tail of the dragon and did it multiple times on my way back to Central FL. Really test the handling, even scraped the plastic fairings a few times diving into the turns. Crazy, beautiful, winding roads all around that area. Perfect driving roads.

Congrats Bob and thanks for the info and pics! Watched your delivery on the web cams.
Do you know where in Florida Frank is from ? I’m mapping them out for when I get back there.

That's outstanding, Bob! I'd say, "Enjoy your new ride", but it looks like you already are!
I merged all your pictures together for you too.
