As discussed in the other thread, the (S) may mean that it was a calculated best time using his best sector times from his laps on the Ring. It shows the potential but not a releasable time.

With that amount of downforce and the huge wing, they can only manage 6:57! while you still lose s race against cars with 150 less hp. Sorry guys I am not a fan of C7.

I think it was reported that the car used for testing crashed so there was never a complete lap. I don’t think that matters at this point because they are testing the mid engine at the Ring as we speak. Better luck with the mid engine.

Name one car with a sub 7:00 minute time that cost less than $150k

I still don't understand how/why/when ring times became a "thing"?!

Answer your own question? Seems the Zr1 time is not a real time!

Given the c7Z06 v Zr1 time at much shorter tracks I cant see how a 6:57 would be an issue knowing what the c7Z06 has run at the ring?

and considering the curtent c7Z06 with mag ride update ran better than the one at the ring last year ZR1 would not be hard pressed to run that time imo

One of the Euro mags will probably test the ZR1 and get a few seconds above 7 mins, they're about 10 seconds slower than Porsche factory times when driving the same car.

Another thing Chevy doesnt release ring times for laps that are run before the production car is even finalized, unlike some other manufacturers.

Another thing Chevy doesn't release ring times for laps that are run after the production car is finally in production(ever since the C6 ceased production, that is).

Seems, since the C6 ceased production, Chey takes them to the ring, wrecks them, and then goes home with their tail between their legs.

You guys realize this phantom 6:57 is a sector time right? Meaning they "did the math". I can't wait to see a ZR1 at C&C with a 6:57 decal on it, lol.
