Now we know the designer of the 2019 zr1’s signature color and wing was a big fan of this movie when he was 12 . And lambo doors. He just couldn’t get the doors by the Gm bean counters.

Landon, don't listen to the nay-sayers....these doors look great!
One question for you though....do these doors have a true Lambo hinge or do you push the doors out and then lift them up?

My personal opinion on this modification has always been, cheesy for the simple fact, you're copying something you're not. However, it looks very good on this car and does look like it could have or even should have, came this way. Getting out of these cars can suck if you got long legs and park to close to something.

That ZR-1 is absolutely gorgeous! But I don't get and have never "gotten" the whole Lambo door thing, especially when you see ricer and low rider shows (no offense) and see them on everything. Just saying the Vette is in different class all together.
BTW, true Lambo doors open only upward. There is no outward motion required to open the door, before lifting it upward. So technically they are not Lambo doors.
Sorry for the hate'n, but it just my humble opinion.
Still LOVE the ZR-1 and hope to trade my 16 Z06 for one (plus cash) in the next few years.

Technically they are not Lambo doors because ....................................it's not a Lambo.

Everyone has their own taste, but I personally love the look. It's just a shame that you can't get a true Lamborghini hinge on anything else but a V12 Lambo. I don't think it looks ricer, I think it adds a Euro flare that's pretty cool.
Technically, Lamborghini doors are called "scissor doors". So they DO go up, just like the Lambo scissor doors. It's just that you must first push these doors/hinges out and then scissor up.
I would do this to my C7 if I could find a true Lamborghini hinge.

The entire door, door frame and body of the car has to be designed around that type of "upward only" hinge. It not something that can be simply added, unless you are willing to spend money modifying the doors, frames, body, etc. to make it work. I bet West Coast Customs could mod a Vette to have upward only hinges for only $100,000. But if you had $100K for mods, you would have $200K + For a Huracan.
