Not quite that bad but I get what you are saying. I spent two days and found 3 dealers with multiple open allocations at MSRP. My deposit has been taken and my order submitted. There are still allocations out there right now and people just have to find them. I thought I would never find one turns out they are available.

Can anyone really justify owning any Corvette or similar car? All this arguing about it is absurd. Buy what you want or don't, but why question or criticize what others have done or are doing. I am very happy with my new ZR1.

Very well said BearZ06, I agree 100%!

x 1000 I bought the car for my own reasons, with my own $$$ So what anyone else thinks really is inconsequential. 100% happy with the ZR1 as I have been with all my Vettes.

I have two sources. #1 is an external supplier. He makes a part for the ZR1 specifically and has quoted and received the business based on a multi-year volume run. #2 is an internal GM source, same answer - multi year run. But hey, I'm just another guy on the forum with sources, so believe who you want. I'm in no rush to buy a ZR1, I have a few years.
So how'd that work out for you?

Man it’s so funny going back and reading this thread and all the “inside guys” that knew it was going to be a multi year run. Most of those know it alls has zero intentions of buying one anyway. Hahaha.

So bad *** it’s a one year car.

GM officially announced the last C7 will be auctioned off on June 28, C8 reveal date 7/18/2019. Building of that last C7 may extend into July.

This thread is over 6 months old and yes, I did see some small dealer incentives as of late on C7 ZR1's. If you wish to custom order yours, you'll likely still pay MSRP minus the Corvette Loyalty discount. I'll be curious to see if that discount is extended into June.

Welcome to the Corvette Forum and congratulations on your first 2 posts.

On your 3rd post, could you share your new car information? Like order number, color, options on the car, dealer, final price, something more than a single sentence. The latest TPW's that I see are still in the first half of June. Something just doesn't add up here. Are you from Waynes World?

No, I was replying to D'ZR1 Messiah on his 2019 ZR1.

The second sentence was a reference to my choice of not buying a Ford GT in 2006 for sticker. I didn't want to repeat that mistake, so I bought a 2019 ZR1 for sticker... It being the single, final year for a FE Corvette with manual transmission may change my experience of loosing 50% over 10 years on my Corvettes ('95 ZR-1, 2010 ZR1). Time will tell. If the price on the used C7 ZR1 tanks, I still won't have regrets. It could be the last Corvette in my life anyway. I haven't seen anything in the C8 to excite me so far. The base cars always left me lukewarm (C4, C5, C6, C7), so a C8 ZR1 could change that.
