I have a 2010 ZR1 that I bought new and had many electrical problems with it. GM offered to buy it back, but I kept it (with an extended warranty and a few grand for the frustrating experience). After working out the quarks, the car proved to be reliable and one fun ride. I did not regret to keep it one minute.
Now, I'm ready to get a C7 ZR1, but my concern was (is) that it is a first year model with its potential issues. Do current owners experiencing any issues with this car?
My Chevy dealer told me that they do not have an available "allocation" and don't expect one this year, but they expect allocation for the 2020 ZR1 model. They were not sure when the new allocation will be announced by GM, but expecting it very soon. Should I wait for the new model or try to find a 2019 model? I understand they are very scarce now.
I'm looking for a 7-speed Coupe, ZTK, 3ZR with the Sebring Orange package. Anyone has a lead on one here?

Its mostly speculation at this point whether or not there will be a 2020 ZR1 model. It seems the general consensus is that it will only be a one year model, at least on this forum. Others think there will be another year of the ZR1. Gm hasn't announced which way it is going yet but it should be soon I would think.

Hi MMXZR1,
If you read "All Corvette's Are Red", you'll understand why people have a justifiable fear of getting a new model anything in first year of production. I got my '07 Z06 + had my share of problems (new engine on my nickel) + new manual tranny on GMs dime. Since then, 100K relatively trouble-free miles. Having said said that, a good friend of mine got a C5 first year of production: no serious problems yet on an 18 yr-old car he tracks + added Vortec supercharger to.
MacMulken has 2 avail ZR1s on their site incl one w/ stick as of this writing, check out: https://www.macmulkin.net/VehicleSearchResults?search=new&make=Che vrolet&model=Corvette&year=2019&trim=Cou pe%20ZR1%203ZR&trim=Coupe%20ZR1%201ZR
I'm on their waiting list after $10K deposit (refundable), ask for Mark.
Good luck!

Some people are convinced on this Forum that there will NOT be a 2020 ZR1. Let us know if and when your dealer has a 2020 allocation!

I believe that dealership is sadly mistaken as there has not been any allocations released yet. They may very well have a waiting list but that is all it is. No allocations have been released for anything past March 2019.

I talked to my dealer on Monday and he said that GM is still saying the C7 ZR1 will be a one year car. He said that he doesn't believe it though. My buddy that is a GM rep keeps saying the same thing. I'm hoping it is only a 1 year car because I think it will help it hold value a little bit. I guess we shall see...

I don't have a Sebring Orange, but I do have six 2019 ZR1's. Maybe we have one that we can make worth it for you? You can check them out on my site if you'd like: www.SarchioneChevy.com/CorvetteZR1

I'm a close relative of the OP and I can speak for him (He's not a regular on the forum). He has one in the pipeline, will let you know how that works out.
The OP is not interested in used cars.
The OP is trading/selling his 2010 ZR1 (around 10,000 miles).
Premiercars is at Springfield, MO. Simply too far.
It's a secondary seller (used car), see first reply. He already past on a slightly used one with over $6K discount.

Your relative asked for help to find an orange big wing manual car...he doesn’t have an allocation...a few folks offered to help him...me included...there is a 7 mile stick car in his color, and looks like msrp and he could buy it today and go get it or have it delivered...Exactly what he wants...and it’s too far away and used? Really? Those are his issues? Here is hoping his other deal works out for him...Why did even bother to ask for help? Good luck to the OP poster...

He started this thread back in last October. He didn't have anything lined up back then. Since then he put a deposit on an allocation that was picked up by GM.

I am happy for him that he has exactly what he wanted on order...will you have him show us all a picture or two when it arrives? Thanks for your replies...I was just trying to help...
