Chevrolet is providing C7 ZR1 755HP 6.2L V8 crate engine through gmperformancemotor.com for base price $19,995

Makes zero sense to drop close to $18K for a motor that you can't run because no ECM is available....

I think by the time they start shipping the engine they will have LT5 engine controller ready to be shipped.

when GM comes up with a controller it will cost around 3k more & I would say it will not be tunable.

My guess is that the LT5 crate motor will have its own ECM (not the locked down version of the ZR1).

$18k gets you a hell of an engine from a tuner. It's not an awful price though. I'm sure there will be volume places selling it for $15k or so, which honestly isn't bad for a warrantied 750hp engine engine.
